There are certain techniques to make a plural noun. Today we will discuss about it.

01.The plural of most nouns is formed by adding -"s" at the end.

02. For noun ending with s,x,z,sh,ch- Add "es". For example: Watch-watches

03.For noun ending with "f" or "fe", we can make them plural by adding "v" instead of "f" or "fe" and then "es". For example: Wife-Wives

04. Nouns ending in "y" form their plurals by changing the "y" to "ies". For example: Family- Families

I think you should have completed the "Y" ending business:

04.01 Singular nouns ending with "y" preceded by a vowel - day, play, tray - just take an "S" in the plural => days, plays, trays.

By the way, the same rule applies to verbs - I try, he tries - we cry, she cries and I buy, he buys - we play, it plays.
