MY SWEET WEEKEND

Hi, people of the world.

I could name this weekend "My sweet weekend" coz my activities were connected to baking and decorating.

I learnt how to make sugar flowers (and they are eatable). And also I baked a cake for my colleague's birthday. I hope he'll like it! What will you say????

Thanks in advance :) And here are my results. Don't judge too strict :D

These are my sugar flowers:

And this is my cake. I have just finished it and now I can drink my coffee :)

Bon appetite :)

  • look so yummiiii, with grapes and kiwi, but I can't eat it   that's so beautiful......

  •  Estanis, well, I guess we have different conditions for foods keeping but thanks for the comment :) to get such words from the professional as at least nice for me :)

  • Keen Learner, well the recipe is very easy.

    You will need:

    1) 4 eggs

    2) 2 glasses of flour

    3) 2 glasses of sugar

    4) sour cream (at least 20% of fat) (russian "smetana"))

    5) 1 tea-spoon of soda + 1 tea-spoon of vinegar

    6) 2 tea-spoons of cocoa

    7) vanilla powder

    For creme:

    1) Fresh fruits (any you like). I took kiwi, grapes.

    2) 2 glasses of sour cream

    3) 1 glass of sugar

    4) vanilla powder

Note: it's very important to find the real sour-cream for the creme and dough. Coz if you take only ordinary cream or not real sour cream, the taste can be different.

    How to cook:

    1) mix the eggs and the sugar till the white color.

    2) add the flour, sour cream, soda+vinegar+vanilla powder for the aroma.

    3) then take the baking pan (I also take the special baking paper, add some oil on it) and put 1\2 of your dough there. Put it in the oven for around 30-40 minutes (temperature 180). I prefer to check it by myself when it is ready (I take the ordinary match and put it inside and if it is clean and no dough on it, then it's ready).

    4) while the first part of the biscuit is in the oven, add cocoa to another part and mix it. Now you have the chocolate biscuit.

    5) when the white one is ready, take it out of the oven, cut into 2 pieces and let it cool. Put the cocoa dough in the baking pan and do the same procedure :)

    6) make the cream by mixing the sour cream and sugar and vanilla powder. I also add some jam or cognac or liquor for a good aroma.

    7) I also make a special liquid for the biscuits coz they can be a bit dry when you eat it. So I take a cup, add hot water for a half of it, take aroma tea, add some cinnamon, cognac and I get an aroma water. You need to make this aroma water cool and then use it before you put the cream on the biscuit. First you need to "water" your biscuit with this aroma water, and then you put cream on it (it depends on your taste how much cream you want to put). Also you can add here some nuts (I always do) or canned pineapples cut into slices :)

    8) and now you do it in the next scheme: biscuit-aroma water-cream-nuts-biscuit-etc. When it is ready, add fruits on the top and decorate as you want.

    Bon appetite.

    p.s. I hope you got it :D

  • Mishaikh, Honey was making this photo :D

  • As a professional I can state it's fashionable and at first sight it catches attention which is the first step to sell cakes. I can't taste it although i can imagine. Just one thing, the material where the cake is placed is not allowed here.

You passed the test in case you wanna work with us :)
  • Where is the Honey in the cake?
    wow!!!!!
