My School days 2005 , chapter 1

This article is about my school days way back in 2005 . It was a vivid experience of all the different types of feelings within me - feeling of fear , innocent teenage infatuation , weakness , strength , introvert feeling , jealousy , extreme passion. I would like to describe the story of my school days.

I was 14 years old in my 8th standard , a class of 45 with unequal distribution of boys and girls. like any other trivial classroom my class had different kinds of people- attentive , lazy , introverts , extroverts , disciplined , rude , Einsteins , politicians etc etc . but the difference in a typical Indian classroom with the foreign counterpart is , here girls and boys are physically made to sit in different zones a good thi from ndian perspective. But like all the innocent infatuations between few boys and girls were not separated.

I was an introvert , staying on a boarding school away from my parents . I was very passionate to be the topper of class , but i had at most respect to the topper of my class , i used to buy him chocolates , praise him , as though it was a political battle in my little classroom . this was my feeling of respect combined with jealousy .

I stayed in a boarding school far from my home , my parents.I had a feeling of fear , as i stayed away from my parents. but i had a photo of my father and mother under my pillow , everyday i used to look at it and kiss them , tears would involuntarily flow . but i used to tell myself , about the good thing they had done by putting me in a boarding school , as there were no standard schools near my home. that was a feeling of wisdom and today i say to myself , that staying in boarding school changed my life , steering into the world of education , opportunity from a poor, middle class background.

  • Elen , Thank you for your comments , they do work a lot to give their children a good future than theirs .

  • It's nice when there is a little competition between students, in a healthy way and without brake their friendship. This make them better. So touching that you were kissing the photo of your parents. Parents work so hard and spend so much money for us, to study and have a good job and a good future. Knowledge is power.
