Well I would love to share what I have learnt too but am afraid I don't remember anything now :S sorry my memory is horrible. I promise to come back to share something ;)

@Nadira thanks for inviting us :)

  • Great, Martin...

I loved these tips. Thanks for adding something different and useful!

    Joyce.

  • How nice, Nadira!

I think the last mistake is common in different countries because almost all the words of the sentences start with the same letter. So, when we read it, sometimes we make a confusion with the sounds.

Thanks for sharing this rich material! =)
  • Dear joyce

I wouuld llike to share  few words of pronouciation  mistakes my students make ,

As it is  their second  or to some  third language ,

Water goes as vahter (tamil speakers)

voter  (Sinhalese speakers) The respective vowel sound and the consonant sound lacks in both respective languages.

Similarly No and came are quite pure without  the diphtongal sounds "ou" and "ei"

Naturally as  thease diphotngal , vowel  and consonants  sounds are not in our mother language , the  pure pronounciation differs.

She saw sea shells on the sand.

" See shaw she sells on the shand ." to over come these mistakes  I use speech therapy  for the learner to get  the  correct pronounciaton and enunciation of  the language.
