My Formula One Diary - Race Day

This is my last entry for My Formula One Diary 2013. Today is the Race Day. Hooray.

Day One : 21.03.2013 (Read here)

Day Two : 22.03.2013 (Read here)

Day Three : 23.03.2013 (Read here)

Race Day : 24.03.2013

WOW. Race Day. I hope today would not end as late as yesterday. The morning was a bit quiet since the Formula One Race would be in the afternoon. However, there were three Support Races before that. The spectators just trickled in, and not a lot of them in the morning. I ended up spending my morning chatting in the Main Room. And teased a few members about the "umbrella girls".

The Support Races were a bit chaotic due to some small accidents. Nothing major, thank God. And so far, the sun was shining. But seemed the dark cloud was coming together with the people. It was getting darker with more people coming into the track.

The celebrities and Royalties started to come about two hours before the Race started. Hmm. Josh Hartnet looked better than in his films. LOL. Kimora Lee Simmons looked stunning. (Names dropping in here. hehehe).

This year's Opening Ceremony was a bit different from the previous years. No more cultural show, instead it was a War Dance by the students from the National Army University.

The controlled chaos which associated with Formula One started after the Opening Ceremony. It was really an awesome experience to be able to a small part of those chaos.

The rain started well before the Race even started, thus the Teams put up tentage-like roof on the grids to protect the cars. They were so hideous. LOL. At 4:00 p.m., the Race started. The Teams went off to good start. However, Alonso had to retire due to technical problem. Poor Alonso since he had a good qualifying result yesterday.

The Race itself as usual nothing much to enjoy. But seemed this year, the pit had more accidents than the track. Suddenly, I heard a loud laugh from the Stewards room. It seemed that Hamilton had went to the McLaren's pit instead of Mercedes Petronas' Pit for the change of tyres. For Formula One uninitiated, Hamilton was McLaren's driver last year. That was funny.

There was also another incident in the Pit; the FIA called it "unsafe release". The driver was called to see the Stewards after the race and was fined Euro10,000.00. Due to major incidents or protests from Teams, the Official Result was released early.

In the meantime, the Teams and their crews were busy packing their cars. Whereas the various parties of Formula One background teams such as Communications, Access System, Timing System and all were also busy dismantling various equipment and system. They would work the whole night through until everything was ready to be shipped. It was really amazing looking at the way they worked because bye tomorrow, everything would be back to normal as if there was no Formula One.

Another Formula One chapter for me had ended. It was really fun to do something totally different from my daily work routine. This signifies the end of this year's diary. Thank you for reading.

The photo on the left is Mark Webber and the photo at the bottom is Kimi Raikonnen. These photos are for the girls of EC to enjoy :-D (You know who you are) LOL

    ............................................................................................................................

    Total words: 1944

    Total views: 758

the longest blog "My Formula One Diary - Race Day" : 568 words

the shortest blog "My Formula One Diary": 232 words

the most viewed "Working with Formula One": 227 views

the least viewed "My Formula One Diary - Day Two": 76 views

the average words: 388.8 words ...........  (noa, what is this 0.8 can't you write a whole word) :p

the average rate of views: 151.6 views

the nearest blog to the average rate of view is "My Formula One Diary" 146 views.

    ............................................................................................................................

I can't assume that there is a relation between words and rate of view but the data show:-

    three  main areas:-

    First area:

1-Working with Formula One:              227 views
2-My Formula One Diary:                    146 views
3-My Formula One Diary - Day Two:     76 views

at this area the rate of views were decreasing " knowing that (blog 1) is the higest rate of view".

    Second area:

3-My Formula One Diary - Day Two:       76 views
4-My Formula One Diary - Day Three:     81 views

At this area the rate of views were relatively constant " 76-81"

    Third area:

    4-My Formula One Diary - Day Three:    499 words ... 81 views
    5-My Formula One Diary - Race Day:     568 words ... 178 views

At the last area there was a remarkable increase from (81-178) which is more than the twice of (81)

"knowing that it didn't reach the highest rate of view ".

    ............................................................................................................................

    To sum up:

the view rate of the whole series was decreasing. it started with the highest rate of view then it kept decreasing till it stayed constant in the 3rd and 4th blog then it jumped up again in the 5th blog.

    ............................................................................................................................

    Conclusion:

Although there are many important factors that affect the rate of view but  the trend of the date shows that EC members get bored and lose their interest in reading series.

It is also clear that EC members love to read the beginning of the series and its end "if it has and interesting end"
