Misused forms

What is the difference between these two examples?

I have been at this school two years.

and

I have been at this school for two years.

    Both are correct - you can omit the prepositon 'for', for example, 'I've been here (for) seven years now'. 

  • I don't know for sure, but i guess if first case you were living there two years. And in second case you were going to school and came back to home everyday for two years.
