@Ario Yes. There are many scams and hoaxes on the Internet. It is easy to get tricked in a language that is not your native language! Thanks for helping people understand that. The most important thing is not to give away too much personal information (address/phone number). And never give your banking information to someone!
@noaslpls True. Unfortunately, there are also trolls. Trolls are bad people on the Internet who are here for the wrong reasons. They want to make your online life miserable. Let's continue to concentrate on all of the members who are here for the right reasons! Cheers.

It's a very useful infographic. I agree with most of lists on it. Recently, I read many cases about Internet from people being abducted by their online friends, people getting fired because what they were posting on Facebook or Twitter, people getting arrested for sharing unverified info, etc. It seems everything that is mentioned in the infographic has happened.
I think everyone who wants to start his virtual life (start to use or join any website) he should educate himself and knows what he should do to make himself safe. I mostly agree with the statement that every website has code of conduct, frequently asked questions, terms of services and rules. So, everyone should read them carefully before join any site and try to follow them (or just leave if they don't want to follow).
And also that we should be very careful when we want to share any info to Facebook or Twitter. Make sure that the info are not hoax or Internet scams. I have seen people so easily share news or rumors easily on Facebook or Twitter without even check the validity.
Some people sometime forgotten that whoever behind the screen or chat room is a human being too. Just because it's a virtual world, it doesn't mean that everything is virtual. Sometimes members in EC overlooked on that small thing. That's why sometimes some members say hurtful things to other members. EC maybe a virtual world, but the friendship in here is real. And people behind the screen is real.
