Love

Love, what is the secret that lies behind that word? I always try to avoid talking or even mentioning it. Of course, the subject needs more than a blog to write about. Naturally, we have to include the general concept of the word.  It is a feeling of liking someone or something very much.  They say that love is a feeling of deep regard, devotion, and fondness. A strong feeling of affection, attraction, and eagerness, you name it, a strong desire to be with someone, and share feelings. I tried it two or three times quite a few years back, and I was hit in the tank, as they say.  The experience was very hard for me. The question, why was it so important or necessary for us? Can we live without it? Here, I am speaking generally about love. The love of money, my mother and my work, etc.

The answer is very simple.  We need it badly. Most crimes in the world happened because of it. Many sacrifices were done because of it. No need to mention the man who killed another man because he took his love from him, or the young man who committed suicide because his girl married another one. The list is very long. Again, the question, why is it so necessary for us? Of course, we cannot use hate as a substitute, can we?

Some people say that the love of the country is from the love of the woman. I wonder if that supposition is true or no! We have heard about one of the kings of France who gave up the throne for the woman he loved. The first time I fell in love, I tried to resist it. I used to swim against the stream but it was indeed very painful and difficult. The current was very strong. I was weak. The second time, I convinced myself that I had to surrender.  I need you guys to write about love. Someone will definitely come out with the big article. It's a challenge, let's do it.

  • Kashaftik ya Sewar, galbik malian hub bishakl da? You have got a strong point here. Don't try to hinder your love or be on his or her way as you mentioned. give him or her your full trust. My goodness! You have a lot of love inside your heart and we do not know about it. By the way, extend my regards to your respected husband. I just wanted to add that your article about love is much more better than mine. Thanks, Sewar for those delicate feelings you showed. Thank you!

  • It is really a wonderful topic.

My friend, as we all recognize that love is the four letters word that has more poems and stories written about it than any other. So, no one can deny that not only the true loving relationships are what life is all about but also the strong once. We always struggle to find it. To find the strong love.

Sometimes when we feel it we think it is enough, when actually it isn't. And sometimes we think it is still in our hearts, but we can feel it faints and we don’t know how to bring it back to its glory. So, the question is; how we can restore a strong love at our hearts protected from weakness, sickness and faintness?????? Can’t we??

I believe that love must be surrounded by a handful of rules that are a set of guiding principles that will help form strong and enduring relationships. In my point; the most important rule is; don’t, ever, control your lover because, you will undermine her or his confidence and self-esteem. Instead, you have to show him or her more respect and more trust him or her to run their own life.

Finally, as a normal woman, with browed I can say: I have a lovely experience with love. But as an eastern woman I feel shy to write about it. All what can I say: Love gave me a new eyes to see the world with. By the way, my lover now is my beloved husband. God bless you my friend.

  • Priviet Tanya ee yak spravy? Your article about love is quite effective. Of course, it comes from experience. I totally agree with you. love is abstraction. You could also say, it's a quality of dealing with ideas rather than events. By the way, I told Mr. Danny to take good care of you. Regarding games, I am not good at them, but I will try to share for some time. Thanks teacher Tanya for your good efforts here on My EC. You and your husband are doing a great job. God bless you two!

  • Dear Dara! I have found the link to this blog at last! It was very interesting to read my hubby's opinion! Ha-ha! Well, I have to say, our opinions match. But, being a woman, I'd like to add something.

Love, whatever it is, is the sense of our existance. It is such an engine of everything that goes on. Love for science makes us invent, research, develope. Love for nature makes us save it. Love for the other sex makes us give birth to kids and so on. But the word "love" is abstraction. It is not always positive. Some people love money most of all, some enjoy killing or torturing, etc. So, everything is relative.

But in general, love is what we all eager to feel and can't live without. If some people are unhappy in their relationship, they try to make other. If they have no kids, they want to fill that emptiness with love for pets and so on.

So, if we stop loving, we will die out, not only as a species (aminals are able to feel love, too), we will make the world heartless, violent, mersiless, technohenic and much worse. We live until we love and hate (you know, there is only one step from love to hatred!), until we are not indifferent to what is going on around. But I prefer to love than to hate.

    So, LONG LIVE LOVE!

  • Dire bonjour a minion Tanya. Excuse my broken French. By the way, you are indeed a lucky man. Please, take care of her. Going back to our subject, you have given it a fantastic description. No wonder, you have experienced the different kinds of love, you mother, father, country or the love of the woman. Thanks for the educational briefing. I really enjoyed reading your simple and informative sentences. After I finish this lecture, I will try to wade through your games. I shall take yours, Mishaik, Elf Noor and some other members. Thanks again, professor Danny.

  • Dear Dara! It is a great blog! You have expressed your mind so clearly and, being an adult man I agree with the most you have said. You see, I  haven't got enough free time to read all the comments. So, I will just say what I think in this connection.

I think that the general concept of love is strong attraction to someone or something. Any attraction is caused by some appropriate biochemical reaction in our bodies that makes our brains inform us we feel love. But, of course, we should distinguish our love for  women from our love for the parents, kids, pets, country, etc. Our love for women, parents and kids is our natural instinct, while our love for money, good lifestyle, patriotism is caused by our acquired reflexes. It is biochemistry of the feeling.

I have felt great love for women only twice although I've  loved them all my life. And I am really happy my second attempt has been so successful. If we are speaking about men-and-women relationship, true love is mutual respect, understanding and support plus our attraction that is the first. If we mean love for our countries, it is different feeling. It is very doubtful we get it from our mothers. My mother was French, my dad was American, the only woman I love is Ukrainian. I have been born and raised in the USA, but I am a patriot of the three countries and I am really happy they are friendy as if I had to make my choice among America, France and Ukraine, I would blow myself away.

Thank you for such a great discussin!
