Can Gourmand Be Used To Punish Like This?

I read this story when I was in grade 7. I hope you enjoy reading it.

There was a cafeteria at the college in which there was a rule that by paying twenty rupees one could have a square meal.
A bunch of friends while having lunch at the cafeteria were making so much noise of which the management of cafeteria took serious notice. The manager warned them but went in vein. He, helplessly took all of them out of cafeteria.

One day, they brought a gourmand to revenge the management. The gourmand, after paying twenty rupees, asked the manager for twenty chapati which were sufficient for 10 persons. He alone ate all of them and calling for more. The manager ordered to arrange more chapati. He ate all of them at once. The whole management was extremely shocked, but had no idea what to do. When he completed a century and asked for more, the manager came front of him with beseeching manner, he requested him to leave the cafeteria as soon as possible . The gourmand replied " Remember! I have paid you twenty rupees." The manager, after paying back twenty rupees to him, ordered him to leave it before I would commit suicide. He, then, agreed to leave. :D

Can gourmand be used to punish like this?

  • AG,
Thank for the encouragement. I appreciate it.
  • to me, I think the management deserves this, because they are not firm to their values.. And, if you are going to tell me that they did not plan for such guests, then I am going to tell you that they have a big problem with good planning..

    Thanks for sharing :)

I published it for the interest of readers. So enjoy it rather than fighting on it. This quote suits on gourmand who went by the limit. :D

I agree with you. Thank for this nice quote, if something goes beyond its limit, it becomes against it." It applies on gourmand. Thank for comment.
  • Main nahi pata, lakin we have a saying, "if something goes beyond its limit, it might become against it." the manager of the cafeteria should have been more careful.
