  • Hi, Nadiyah!

    I am so sorry that I haven't taken much attention for my friend since we both accepted to be friends, so I visited here and just wanted to leave my comment;

    Well, I had to leave all my friends in Korea many years ago, so that I would have to go abroad to study for my further education in UK. So it wasn't easy but very difficult for me emotionally & physically, as I was trying to settle myself alone at the very early stage from the moment I arrived in UK, because all my close friends used to be always hung around and to be there for me (for a friend who is wiling to help at any time or vice versa, a friend in need is a true friend indeed) whether I was happy or sad, as I was grown up in the same place for many years.

    For the first 8 years, I couldn’t go back to my home country but I had to persevere myself in studying hard instead of feeling homesick or recalling them in my memory (I could neither phone them just like today because an international phone call was so expensive, nor write any letter to them at least for 6 months).

    However, I’ve made my own homepage (of course, all in Korean) and now we have regularly been able to communicate with them, which has been so great.
  • Dear Ndiaya.
    When I lost my dear one,I felt ,someone had stabbed my heart.......still the wounds are bleeding.........only he could heal that with his soft and caressing touch.......

  • GOODBYE is always difficult. And the word goodbye is very heavy on the tongue and I said this word How many times in my life ... and this moment very, very difficult .... But life is happiness and sorrow, meeting and parting .... and i must accept this fact, no matter how painful and I keep my life...Or i will be kept prisoner of the past.
  • Great question. I miss my best friend every day. We keep in touch via email and phone calls. We also involve each other in our life goals by providing motivation and challenges.

    Grammar note: "I miss you" or "I'm missing you". :)

  • Hi Dear Nucha,
    your story really touched me, in the beginning when we separate with our friends is hard, for any reason we can't accept it ...
    as you said that "A party must be closed someday ", this is reality that we must accept ... and we only hope one day he/her will return or may God will give someone a better replacement ...Thanks for sharing
    have a good time

  • Dear Nadiyah,

    Being far from our beloved ones gives me motivation. It may seem strange but, I try to work as much as hard until I can help them or being with them in the near future.
    I try to follow this so-called proverb "If life gives you lemon, make a lemonade."

    Cheers,
    Nafis
