How to Be a Good Online Friend

I just realized that I have 999 friends on MyEC. Though many of these members are not active participants in the club, there are hundreds of members who consider MyEC a home away from home. If you've heard of Seth Godin, you'll know that he calls a club like ours "a tribe". We are a group of disconnected people with a like interest that brought us together. Though it may seem difficult to keep in touch with so many friends it is possible to touch the lives of many through blogs, photos, videos, comments, chats and private notes. Before I say hello to my 1000th friend I'd like you to share your ideas about how to be a good friend online.How to be a Good Online Friend

Share new updates regularly
Tell your stories
Leave comments on blogs and other content
Compliment hard work
Offer help when help is needed
Ask for help when you need it
Provide support when a friend is down
Share links and resources that others will benefit from
Visit regularly
Take the time to say hello to someone new

The leadership board will help you to have an insight of the club from the topnotch members of the month , the star members and the best video, photos, blogs, for the month, which gets assessed through performances of the members.
Interact as much as possible using all four skill of learning . The club has vast resource to help the teacher,fluent speaker, the lover, and learner of English alike!I have many friends through the guidance of our mentor Tara Benwell ,Anne,Nebia Fa ,Nadiya all my other friends as Anele Deuce DM, A Chan and all in my contact list.

Take note of Tara's advice of to make the best of EC Community at large
wishing yo all the very best , and it wold be volley if you could join the band at EC welcoming committee.

Dear Tara's 1000th friends,

Frankly, All members or friends in my list are good, In fact very good. When I asked something they always response. Yes, in other words all my friends here on this GREAT SITE were impressed me.

Hope someday all of us or widget us can meet in person. At least for members who leave in one country.

Very nice piece of blog ... The video was also fascinating and fabulous... I liked it ..The idea of "tribe" is so wise ...We can make a change, make a movement through our "tribe" by spreading unique ideas and thoughts ... Wow, I didn't know how powerful we've become since our membership here, thanks to Josef and Tara and the whole EC team and community ...
Well, to be a good online friend...hmm...We should be cooperative, encouraging yet at the same time politely stating our criticism when needed ....And, we should respect one another's differences ...this is so much important ...
We should be energetic and optimistic ...This can make a change in other friends' lives ...To be happy inspires happiness in others too....

Anyway, thanks dear Tara for your nice blog and your sharing of that nice video ...

It have lots of friends at MyEC and I'm so lucky to have them. I will not point them out cause a numberr is really huge. They buck me up when I'm blue, they make me laugh, they share great ideas and thoughts and they always help me when I need it.

Thanks for the vedio, Tara! It can be used as listening materiels. This club is just like a 'tribe' and I'm just such a firm believer. I wonder if anybody here wants to be 'missed' if he/she failed to watch this vedio:))

How to be a good online friend? Just like in real life, you need to be understanding, caring, grateful, helpful and try to be 'in your friend's shoes' when you think why your friend has done something like that.

Dear Tara's 1000th friend,

I have found incredible friends on Englishclub. They have been true and pure friends supporting me whenever I need it. My extraordinary compassionate friends are Forget-me-not, Ruzan and Nadiyah. This list goes on and because I have to mention some of my friends here, I just finish it here. I hope others that I didn't mention their name do not become sad and think I forgot their kindness. You all are in my heart and I extremely appreciate my friends whoes presence in my life gives me hope and courage and I wish God gaurds them all.
