How do you control exam stress?

Napolean Bonaparte and I have something in common. As it is said, Napolean was afraid of taking an exam and so do I. I am scared of any kinds of exams no matter what I am prepared or not. I am full of stress at the exam day and the night before.I can not sleep very well at night. During the day, I try not to think of the exam and its results. More interestingly, I always try not to think of the result and just enjoy what I am doing. However, I still have the stress.I can not eat breakfast. That is really harmful both for the test and my body. But, automatically, I do not have appetite.I always try to calm myself by breathing deeply and meditation. Consequently, I become more relaxed but it is not ideal.I would like to ask you what you do to control the exam pressure. Please share your ideas here. Thanks.

  • hi nafis!!!what i do to control my stress is first i need to study hard for the exam.because i think if you have the knowledge you wiill find it easy to take any kind of examination you need to take.and i do believe that studying is the best weapon that you need.being nervous is just but normal but as you go along with your exam all our stress will be !gone !!always remember that a key to a succesfull exam is studying,self confident,trust in your self and your knowledge,say a littlle prayer,and be positive!!!all the time have a nice day my friend!!!
  • I find it easier to control stress after reading Eckhart Tolle's book "A New Earth". It may be difficult reading for second language learners, but advanced learners can try it. Perhaps it has been translated into your native language?
