I wore this for my blog & just trying to feel being a muslim woman even once. I am not against muslim or any religions, but somehow their culture are good. This blog is to remind us our individual culture.

But nowadays this kind of clothings, or some clothings from other countries are not being practice anymore. At first I don't like it wearing this or looking my eyes in this kind of clothings in my head. Well I just try myself how do I look like in respect to some muslims here.

We are free women, so wearing these would be unusual of course. According to the forums I got maybe it has a good point. I met muslim friends and other students here so as I was looking to the internet to research about muslim women culture, it seems so conservative. I am wondering if they still practice this nowadays .

BURKA

A long, loose garment covering the whole body from head to feet, worn in public by women in many Muslim countries.

  • I was thinking that before the Lion ate the photographer, maybe the lens capture itself before the timer went to one. Then the tiger burp & then bite the camera.

  • Well mohammad, photographer is the one who took the photo of lion.

  • LOOOL Vision, so that is "kilt" not "skirt" ,,, ha !?

Thanks God ,,, but be damn sure, you will never see me in that, now if you want you can _ _ _  :D

Also it was a good point about the wild world photography, thanks for sharing that precious information, it seems Estanis will sleep comfortably tonight  :)

But the strange point is, why the lion (in my pic) has picked up the camera and being carried it !? any clue?

Perhaps some blood had been applied to the camera to produce attractive smell for lions. (to make careless about another camera)  ;-)

  • LOL Estanis, if I knew then I wouldn't ask :D , but Hayah well said: "the one who took this picture may know where the other photographer is".

I think this picture has been professionally made using Photoshop. Even if this lion has eaten the photographer, why it has picked up the camera and carried it !? :D , in fact the camera and the other stones near the lion are similar to it.

Dear Setareh, Thanks for your nice comment and appreciation. I forgot to put it in my last comment.

  • Dear Mohammad,

I've spent almost same time searching the damned photographer as reading last comments. Will you please tell us the answer to your question once and for all? Was he eaten?? :/
  • To all,

Let us end this with a decisions. We just need to stick to activity & the aim of this is to re-unite christian women & muslim women to respect each others right, country to country laws & situations.

Example has been given by everyone, thoughts & voices has been heard.

    Thanks for your participation.

    CONGRATS.

  • Dearest Mohammad,

I don't have time to finish all the comments & skype call these weeks. Maybe I need time to read all your comments. But well, yes I haven't mentioned it's for women; therefore, you must be a judge not a commenter nor debater.

Overall, your performance in writing was amazing. You are now the hero or so, whatever. With regards on the LION you post, you make it not serious but rather made it a joke. But somehow I think relax me & smile.

    Yours Truly,

    MARIE LORABELLE

  • Hello again and hope you are doing well !

    To Marie:

"This issue is only for you women and It is not for us men !?" ,,, how are you sure like this that I'm a man via this virtual world !?  :D  ,,, and many men had commented before me (and you didn't tell them anything), but when it was my turn your blog converted to women blog !?  :D ,,, But nowhere of your blog has been mentioned that it is just for women. When you post your blog in the general blogs (not in women group) it means that the men are your audiences as well. Even if you close the comment box of your blog I will say my speech in other way ;-) . Generally when a blog was written about a precious and holy custom or belief of a country, a religion, or a group of people, then it cannot be related to only men or women (accept it please). I was also surprised when I saw your keywords (tags), and didn't get the relation of your blog to the words "Racial" and "feminism". Anyway please tolerate me !!

    To Hayah:

In fact I didn't want to judge between you commenters as I'm not judge and to be judge is too hard, but I just wanted to scrutinize (to analyse) the reasons which cause, our friendly atmosphere tents to annoying one, with debating far from the morality and full of offending and insulting. Yes, you are right, actually I thought that the second comment of Evangelina was after your insulting comment but it is before that and I saw a few insulting sentences in her comment as you said. BUT it also isn't a reason to reply offensively. As you know our prophet Muhammad (PBUH), never insulted, never offended, never annoyed anyone, even in replying the ones who had insulted and insulted him in the worst style. The answer of your other questions is in my previous comment and also I don't want to disturb more.

    To Evangelina

As I said I'm not such a reconcile which you meant. See, In general when a person make a picture with Photoshop or other software and replace the face of the person in the picture with his/her face and wants us (as the audiences) to comment on his/her picture with this question: "How do I look like having niqab or burka in general !?", then s/he must expected to hear some sentences from audiences such as: "you are not beautiful in this niqab", "it isn't suit for you", "you are ugly with this niqab" .... right !? ,,,, and s/he must not get sad. Do you think other thing ? ,,,, therefore the comment "You look like a man who is disguising in an honorable lady's dress", is a comment as well and I didn't see any bad thing in it.

But if you find it offensive, please put yourself instead of her (Hayah) as a Muslim girl who doesn't like that people play with her holy beliefs, who has found the picture of the blog offensive somehow and who has seen a provoking comment before, and that comment has been painted in her mind as a bad background, then what should you say as your comment !? ,,, if you say: "OK, but she must have said it softer". ,,,, But did you (yourself) do it in your second comment that you expect her to do !?

So see, every fighting has an starter and it is created from a first sentence, that's all.

Also Marie didn't get such sad and angry as you did and she replied with her real picture and didn't say anything which shows she has gotten sad or angry, but why fighting was started !?

I don't deny that sometimes you defense other members with your comments which is well and it is so admirable work and I do it myself too. BUT the point here is we shouldn't comment, when we are too angry. Sometimes I delete my comment after adding (sending) to modify it, because of only one word which I has thought that it is not good and can be offensive.

    To All

Dear friends, I never have fear or dislike to discuss about Islamic terms, beliefs, and so on. All your discussions or blogs (with a scientific background which can be gained by researching) in Islamic topics are always welcome to me and I think all Muslims think so. BUT in so respectful way and with the aim of finding TRUTH not with the goal of gathering many comments, showing ourselves, starting a fight or to offence a person or group. As an example I liked Vision's blog about the literacy of our prophet.

    Thank you all

  • Ok this issue is only for us womens. It is not for mens. At first I cannot read the long novel wrote by Mohammad, he was acting that way it is because of our discussions in chat. Well in fact , this is to practice English writings and I can say it is better. This forum might be temporary closed; however, I will not delete this. Thanks Mohamed for you writings. I am encouraging here not to close your mind in just one part or thinking these thoughts of girls as an insult, rather as a way to hear their voices.

  • Dear Mohammad, thanks for your nice and thoughtful comment. Thanks for trying to make this place a friendly and enjoyable place for improving our English.

To be honest I have not noticed any offence  She wrote" I wore this for my blog & just trying to feel being a Muslim woman even once. I am not against Muslim or any religions, but somehow their culture are good.

But when we want to talk about others culture and beliefs we must be careful. It is a delicate subject.
