  • Dreamer man and Anne are right. Too many are just playing and it is hard to have a serious conversation.  Last time I had to go to a private chat to be able to speak to Nadira.  Otherwise it is too confusing.
  • I agree with Teacher Anne and that why i dont come often to chat as before , i find many people who are not serious and just playing but the last time we enjoyed skype conference with Anne but I wonder why she didnt set schedul evrery week as we did before with english busniess chat :( , what do u think Nadira??
  • Yes dear Anne  I agree. I wonder if there is  a way they could learn to appreciate.....
  • I have used chats today. It was working very good now.
  • Annie, great idea! Have you heard of the idea of "being the change"? You could be the one to post the daily question. How? Just write a blog post every day with a suggestion for a chat topic. You could even use the Talking Point topics, or the discussion topics from the Monthly News. More ideas here: Chat Rooms for Students and Teachers.
  • Dear Rana
You answers gives an important feed back how much we all have come to rely the mains, and the positive impact it has given us, much to the few of us who felt the frustration and sadness of it not being there yesterday, through technical error.
I wrote the questions at a time when we were missing it , and to get the best out of it
SHOULD I JOIN IN THE CONVERSATION / OR JUST WATCH
Your absolutely correct Rana, yet one has to attempt to develop and over come the fears, even if it should be through private, through listening, reading, writing and then talking.

  • Dearest K
Thankyou, this was written on the spurt while we were missing the chat room.
Any way never too late , thank you ,it would be lovely to have great topics too, for the chat to be more interesting, what do you think?
  • why do I love my Ec chat?
Because I've entered a lot of chatrooms to learn English, but I find this chat is the best one. All the people here are friendly and polite. And they always back me up when I need something. There is no bad words or some bad ideas like the other chatrooms which I visited before. And also I have lovely memorise here I don't want to forget!!

What have I benefited through the chat??
I got along with a lot of people here, learned about some countries I'll visit soon,
some teachers give me lessons and I learned from them.I met someone who made my life better and I hope I can see that person again.

How long and often am I using the chat?
I can say all the time. Actually I enter the club every hour, and If I can't enter from my Labtop I enter from my cell phone.

Should all join in the conversation , or just observe?
Not all of us can express her/his ideas in english. You can see there are bigenners, intermedate and advanced learners, and also different countries, thoughts and ideas. Some of them like just reading what is wrote.
And some of them can't break the ice.
We can't say that all of the members should join, but at least they must try. I was an observer before, but now I'm not. I enjoy my time with my friends!!!
  • Dear Tara
This jolt of the chat room missing, gave shock waves. This is our second home, to some learners may be the link ,to get over their shyness ,in talking English and improving their writing skills as well.WE have developed our own circle of friend, thanks to the mains thus being able to voice chat and also go on conference with more members.

  • Fantastic questions! I wish I had more time to be in the chat room. I'm so happy you all love chatting in there. I think chatting is the next best thing to actually talking. Do you agree?
