2000 people get the flu and everybody wants to wear a mask but 25 millions people have AIDS and nobody wants to use condoms !!!What economic interests are hidden behind that H1N1 flu ?Every year in the world, millions of people die from malaria and a simple mosquito net could prevent them from this illness.Every year in the world, 2 millions children die from diarrhea that could be prevented with a simple serum that costs 25 cents...The media doesn’t even talk about this !Measles, pneumonia and many other illnesses that could be cured by low cost vaccines cause 10 millions deaths each year.The media doesn’t even talk about this !But when the famous chicken flu appeared about 10 years ago, all we ever heard about was the CHIKEN FLU. A pandemic... the worst pandemic EVER according to the media reports.Seasonal flus kill half a million people every year around the worldwhile chicken flu killed 250 people in the last ten years.So,tell me why such a big hysteria regarding the chicken flu ???Because behind this little “chicken flu” were hidden big pharmaceutical companiesThe well known pharmaceutical company Roche sold millions of tamilfu doses in Asia.Although though the Tamiflu efficiency is uncertain,The bristish government has bought 14 millions vaccines.Because of this chicken flu “Roche” and “Relenza”, the two big pharmaceutical companies who sell those vaccines got millions of dollars in benefits.The real pandemic is the huge profits those companies make!!!I do not say that the precautions taken by the governments of those countries are not necessary but if this pandemic is as terrible as the media wants us to believe, why doesn’t the WHO (the world health organization) declare this as a “world public health proble.Doing this would allow the fabrication of generics medecines ?The best solution would be to nullify the Roche and Relenza patent.Doing this would allow these generic medications to be given away for free, particularly to the poor countries.Is it about making money or is it about saving lifes ?

Thanks for your interesting informations. As i wrote before, i think we shouldn't be more scared of swine flew than from some other viruses. Media spread hysteria about it, and i think it's not correct because this swine virus is not more dangerous than many others. So please don't worry too much about this.

Very interesting topic. In my opinion it's about making money as usual, and not about saving lifes. Nobody cares about ordinary people :( I don't believe that these companies would give the above mentioned generic medications for free to the poor countries. We live in a coprorate world, and we need to understand that the majority of the companies are concerned with increasing their shareholders' equity and it's not their primary concern to worry about saving lifes around the world.

the virus spread and haunt the world, companies from developed countries to produce vaccine and then sold to the market with high prices in developing countries, including Indonesia.

Thanks for your appreciation. In fact, don't feel guilty not to give your children this vaccine. In my opinion, i feel there are more risks to give the shot (because of the unknown side effects) than not to give it. This flu is not more dangerous than the seasonal flu.

Excellent argument and beautiful writing! There is so much controversy about this shot, and yet as parents we feel guilty not to give it to our kids (mainly due to the advertising and gov. warnings).
I went to a benefit this week to get on the bone marrow/stem cell registry in Canada. This cause is very close to my heart. I wish there was more advertising money put into this kind of event. Imagine how many lives we could save if this much money was spent on curing cancer.
