- In the past, I divided my university courses into important and unimportant ones. Then, I worked hard towards mandatory courses and ignored the unimportant ones. So, I end up getting very good marks for my mandatory courses, but very low mark for easy ones. As such, my Grade Point Average came down.
Lesson: There are no important or unimportant courses. All of them are significant! Work hard no matter what kind of course you have!

- I did not ask questions in some classes because I was afraid of looking stupid. So, I pretended I knew the answers or I got the information so quickly!
Lesson: Ask as much questions as you can! It’s more shameful not to know about your field than not asking! And, please be yourself!

- I did not communicate so much with my classmates or some other students from different fields. I could have learned so much from them, but I simply missed the chance.
Lesson: Each and everyone have something great to give! Just open up your heart and let everything comes to you!

- I was just studying for a long hours without paying attention to my interests and likes. So, I end up being very depressed and sad at the end. I got very good marks, but I was not happy with my life at all.
Lesson: It is very crucial and vital to pay attention to what makes you delightful.

- I was so nervous whenever an obstacle came along.
Lesson: Life has ups and downs and you would face them at some point. You have failed so many times and you would again. So, prepare yourself instead of being worried. And, remember! When you work hard, you can overcome every obstacle. They come only to teach you a lesson!

  • Dear Zahra,

Past is past. Don't be upset about it "Now" because you will lose "Now" to correct the past. It doesn't matter and we need all the mistakes we make since we are learning and going forward. So, I hope you start your educational year with passion and high energy. Good luck!

  • Great correcting plan!

I hope you the best in your life.

You know, these days when I hear the name "university" I get really upset and depressed. I am gonna be a senior this year, and now that I think back, I see that I have missed many opportunities at my university; my interesting lessons and many extracurricular activities I could do at uni....I have missed a lot. I miss my uni and I am gonna miss the great time at uni.

But I hope I can continue till the end of my life. I love studying and being a professional. I hope that I can overcome my laziness to be happier. I hope that this year of uni will be the best for me. I am gonna enjoy it more than before.

  • Good post!

I love your #2. It's so true - we shouldn't pretend we've understood what they were saying in English.
