Every company needs an accountant to help them evaluate their asset from time to time, to understand its financial situation, potentials and capability, so that they can make accurate decision about their future investment, policies and trends.

In fact, besides company, we also need to do the same thing to ourselves.

Here are the reasons.

1. We need to understand our strong points and weeks points, threats and opportunities, to maximize our development.
2. We should know which part we should focus on to sharpen our strong points or improve our weak points.
3. We can make accurate decision for our future investment and careers. For examples, if one has good skills, knowledge, experiences and social network, but does not have enough money, he can try to cooperate with someone who has money but does not have skills and so on when he want to set a business.
4. Know if we are improving.

Then, how to evaluate our assets?

         According to one of the most famous writers in Japan, Kazuyo katsuma, our individual assets can be categorized into four types money for future investment, own experiences, skills to finish things subconsciously and social network related to individual assets.

In my opinion, I think we can only take her advice as a reference and evaluate our assets in a way that is suitable for our own situation.

 Here is how I categorize my assets.

1. Certificate- To be a fresh man in the society, I need to show certificate to prove that I have a certain skill.
2. Skills and knowledge- I do include some basic level skills, like basic writing skills and so on, as I am still too young to have many skills at proficiency level. I do categorize them into skills related to basic quality, like time management skills. And skill related to my occupations. I do also record the level of my skills when I assess my assets.
3. Experiences- To broaden our experiences, we can try to change our daily tasks, and try more challenging tasks.
4. Money- The investment here actually includes buying books.
5. Social network – This is what I am focusing on now.
