English Question (adjectives)

 

Hello dear friends


Would you please answer this question?

 

Tow of the adjectives in each sentence below collocate with the noun. Which adjective does NOT?

(Which adjective is WRONG?)

 

1. His love for her was hopeless/unrequired/unrequited. Sadly, she didn't like him at all.


2. There was blind/considerable/mounting excitement as the big day approached.

 

3. My sister felt nothing but gut/pure/intense hatred toward hr friend after finding out she'd deceived her.

 

4. The explorers kept searching even though there was only a faint/slight/dull hope of finding the treasure.


5. The last book I read was a novel which made a deep/long/lasting impression on me.


6. The detective acted on slight/gut/pure instinct and eventually caught the suspect.


7. Many young boys have a great/big/considerable passion for football.

    3. My sister hated her friend because of her friend's lie.

    6. The detective listened to his 6thsense and could catch the guilty person.

    7. Young boys love football.

    Let me say that we must find the WRONG adjective here.

    It means that 2 adjectives are used but one is wrong and the WRONG adjective is the answer.

    **As soon as I've got the right answers in the class, it will be post here.

  • 1. His love for her was unreuited (or may be the correct word/spelling is unrequited). Sadly, she didn't like him at all.


    2. There was mounting excitement as the big day approached.

     

    3. My sister felt nothing but intense hatred toward hr friend after finding out she'd deceived her.

     

    4. The explorers kept searching even though there was only a faint hope of finding the treasure.


    5. The last book I read was a novel which made a lasting impression on me.


    6. The detective acted on gut instinct and eventually caught the suspect.


    7. Many young boys have a considerable passion for football.

    I hope that not all of answers are wrong.
