Every year the Earth Day is celebrated on 22nd April across the world including Pakistan. The same is being organized to be celebrated tomorrow on Monday here in Karachi by Korangi Association of Trade and Industry under administrative control of Chairman of Health, Safety and Environment - Standing Committee. Huge amount of money will be spent to inscribe it in the list of their performances, but at the end of the year nothing is achieved.
However, blaming environmental degradation on mere government or no governmental organizations is injustice as we all wherever live are vulnerable to the climate change. So, we have to come out from our comfort zone to take part in plantation and disseminating awareness about the effect of plastic bags. Most people, especially in under developing countries are still ignorant of causes behind climate change and rapid growth of global warming. I am firmly determined to start a campaign in my locality very soon at my level in Shaa Allah and hopefully more people will engage in this activities to save ourselves and future generation.
