Do you believe in the first impression?

Many people tend to evaluate a person from the very first meeting thinking that the first impression one leaves is the most honest and shows his/her real character.Accordingly, that person will work his/her socks off to leave a good impression on the host. That's pretty recommendable and important as long as the person acts and behaves as he/ahe truly is. Unfortunately, some people misunderstand the concept and the essence  of "the first impression" and start to fake their personalities and appearances in order to impress the other person. So don't you agree with me that the whole idea of the first impression has become nothing more than hypocrisy and deception!

  • Hi Fumi, you're absolutely right. Time has got all the answers. Thanks for dropping by, my friend.
  • Hi Lucy, thank you dear for sharing your opinion with us.
  • I guess, there's no second chance for a first impression.  :)
  • Hi Anah, thank you very much for stopping by and sharing your ideas with us. Life is full of surprises; we may encounter the good and the bad. In dealing with either, we should be wise and smart enough to discover who's fake and who's genuine.
  • For all my friends, sorry guys I should've commented back to you earlier, but I had to travel yesterday and wasn't home but after midnight. I went straightly to bed:-D
  • Hi Jamal, what you've said goes hand in hand with what I'd like to convey. Thanks for your nice comment.
  • Hi Faris, you've pointed to a very vital issue here: the person's current situation. It happens all the time when a person is just not in the mood to meet somebody but he has to. That, by no means, will leave a bad impression on the other party unintentionally. Anyway, thanks for coming by.
  • Hi Sahar, if somebody seeks goodness-all of us do for sure- then he/she should stick to it all the time. I mean he/she shouldn't just act well on specific occasions and with particular people and ignore it on others. He/she should be consistant and train him/herself to be good all the time paying no attention to the place nor to the people. Anyway, thanks for dropping by.
  • Hi Debbie, I think even in your first meeting for a job, you should be yourself; however, a little of exageration is ok to impress your boss. Thank you dear for stopping by.
  • Hi dear Jenny, my real problem is with those smart who are very good at hiding their real characters and personalities just to impress the other party. Anyway, I think there is no way to avoid such people, so we need to deal with it in the most reasnable way and just meet that person several times 'cuz if he/she is fake, he/she can't just keep acting all the time, can they?
