There are different ways to communicate with other people. It depends on people and the way they choose to convey their messages. Have you ever looked at a picture or a painting for so long and it looks like it is talking to you. It seems that the painter try to convey his message through his painting without using even a single word he is able to transfer the meaning he had in his mind. A composer speaks through his music. Sometimes a piece of music can touch our soul and heart so deeply.

Do you remember when we were a child and the look that our parents gave us was enough to see what was going on?  Even eyes can convey messages. When you look into someone’s eyes you can see joyous, sorrow, anger, calmness, hatred or love. That’s why people believe eyes are not able to disguise our real feelings. They reveal the truth easily. They are like windows of our souls.

How about silence? Sometimes even silence can convey a deep meaning. We have an expression in Persian that says “my silence is not a sign for my satisfaction; I am silent because I am not kind of a person who complains”. We have seen so many great people who choose silence over speaking in order to talk their heart out because the words can not help them any more.

Most of us communicate with others through speaking. Have you ever felt that you can not make yourself completely understood and even sometimes your interlocutor may get you wrong? Then you struggle to put the words in another way in order to make yourself clear.

Some people are so good at speaking. They are masters in giving lectures so they get succeed in conveying their messages. Of course they get this ability through practicing, reading so many books and enhancing their knowledge.

Some may not be able to speak well so they prefer to write.  They convey their messages through their writings. When their books are translated in other languages, they communicate with people all around the world. Words are the carrier of meanings. Their mission is to deliver the message to readers.

Can words always deliver the meanings and the feelings completely? Some times an author distills all his life into a book; All of the pains, all of the difficulties, all of his fears, his hopes, his dreams and all of his hardworking stories into one book. Sometimes a sentence may carry a deep meaning so I think we must look, listen and read with both heart and mind in order to get the meaning right.

  • Correct!. It's very true. We should read through our mind to get the meaning. If the readers only read by a glance, they will not get the messages. I got it sis,:)

  • Interesting post. I love how well you formatted it into nice paragraphs. You also use a lot of variety in your sentence structure. I hope some of our bloggers take notice!

  • If a person really wants to convey his message, he will convey it through any medium but, if a person is not sure to convey his thought/message he may always find obstacles!
