Can you go back to nature?

It is like a trap we all are slowly falling into. It is like a drug more and more of us are being day by day attracted to. It is like a blackhole that imprisones us inside without our awareness. In fact consuming, virtual life style in this modern era is killing us, taking our identities and makes us slaves of the system. One day people will forget, how it feels to spend hours outside, how amazing it is to stand on the top of the hill or to sleep under the sky, how it feels to enjoy this awesome feeling nature can satisfy us with. It is unfair, nature is fading away from our minds and maybe after some centuries will be totally vanished and will become something imaginary. Things are getting more and more virtual and people accept it as it is, lazily go with the flow. Who knows, maybe our next generations will percieve virtuality real and reality fake, maybe virtual flower will be more imporant than the real one. Isn't this all a bit pathetic? We come from nature, we should respect it, protect it, adore it, but not forget it or destroy it. When I am thinking about it all, it makes me pretty sad and at such moments I feel like packing my stuff and going somewhere far away. Just to live like a castaway on desert island, be happy and die happy in nature...

  • We should bring them out more frequently.

  • Dear Luci, when we go to nature my kids complain about insects and telling me that they could watch in nature from TV. Sometimes I wonder why kids are like this. They'd rather spend time on the net, games, shopping malls, cinemas and amusement parks. What a pity! Maybe one day they will realize how peaceful and refreshing nature is.
If you see a city enlightened my millions of lamps but there is no trees; it's like there is no beauty. I love nature. Thanks for your meaningful post.

  • I agree with you; we should be protecting and respecting Nature, but I also agree with Eva: I don't think things are gonna change for the better. I wonder how many nature and wildlife reserve is gonna be left in 50 years from now if we keep having the same wasteful lifestyle.

    Nice topic, thanks for sharing!

  • AG, I agree with you...we will soon evolve in some half-robots, right? :D I would like to live in era like.. 150 years ago in the castle :p
  • Bill, ehum ehum :D I had to use dictionary to understand fully your comment! Thanks for your description of this issue, I really like it and btw I have one advice for you... if you feel like missing yourself in nature...why the hell can't you go for a trip with friends?
  • Mishaikh, thanx for your comment and I agree that walking with mother nature is the best therapy ever!
  • Thanx Frank for your comment and the picture just perfectly desctibed what it all is about...however, parents are those who raise the kids. I guess if they "teach" them going to nature, then kids might also tend to nature (my naive imagination I am practising :D)...
  • you know what! It's not only about the virtual life.. it's about the whole developed life that are having now.. I believe that the very negative impact of development is about making us more and more far from the serenity and nature.. sometimes, I miss so much the life or our grandparents and I wish I lived that era and died before this development came..

  • What a great awareness raising topic to read and reread whenever I feel carried out by our delusional world of technology and superficiality. Human relationships are about connections and interaction which is inherited in our natural demeanor. That’s really sad to know that all elements of physical interaction became emulated in the virtual world as most of people consider the virtual world as a great way to escape from nature, but real life would have to intervene at some point. We are obviously letting our bodies to become almost empty husks whilst we live our lives in a virtual utopia using all these addictive social networks without realizing that they are part of our life routine. I am really missing my old life as a nature lover, where I used to run on grass, coming up with creative jokes, contemplating at nature with more curiosity, traveling and discovering the aesthetics of our natural world without getting any spoiling review …etc To be quite blunt ,here is so much out there in our natural world, things to see and do, smell and sense, many of them if you could travel between stars is more fantastical than anything the human mind can imagine. But sadly, people are already becoming more reclusive with technology which by far can change our natural behavior. Let's hope for the best :)

How I can say cities are beautiful, when nature has chosen the jungle to reveal its beauty?
