BIRTHDAY

Ann wondered what people over the world did on their birthday!

That year (2015) she took a day off as a present for herself on her birthday. She had 13 off-working days a year but had just used 1. So she was tired of work and took a short break.

She stayed at home. Two first greeting messages were from the bank where she had account and the mobile company she used. (-.-)

As usual she hasn’t been a fast-living person and that day she was a very slowly-living person. She woke up early but stayed in bed. She had breakfast very late. She took a walk and enjoyed the uncrowded street.

Coming back home from the breakfast she watched T.V. Star World was the channel she had preferred. She watched American Next Top Model. It was interesting in her idea. She could hear people talk English. She understood what they said in general but there were too many words she didn’t know. “I must improve my English”, she was thinking. She had learnt English for a long time, since she was 6. She didn’t want to lose it all.

Turning back to Ann’s birthday, she received messages from her colleague and her close friend. But she had been relaxing so she would reply them later.

Her mother had come when Next Top Model ended. They cooked together. His husband also went home from his office for lunch. They enjoyed the simple meal together with fun. (As usual she and her husband stayed at the office and had lunch there).

After taking a nap at noon, she learned for her working knowledge text the following month. She couldn’t learn much because she got headache.

And in the evening their family had a special dinner with crab, shrimp, octopus, oyster and several kinds of vegetable. They really enjoyed their evening.

She received many greeting from her friends, her relatives on facebook. She was happy because they still connected after long time no see. Even a friend she had just met couple time (11 years previous) sent her message. She thought that was life‘s present.

She ended her day by writing biography.

P.S: By the way she found some confusing word on this blog:

World – work – word

Crab – craft

Shrimp – swim

Octopus – October

Learn– learnt – learned

Walk – wake –waked – woke – woken

She – C – see – sea

Breakfast – bread fast – break first

Crowd – crown

Colleague – collage

Thought - though

  • Dear Tara: thank you for writing here. I'm appreciated your comment. I usually want to do something different on the special occasion. I just want to add color in my life. I haven't got a baby now so I have free time to do what I like. Thanks for sharing us a new way for writing.
  • Clever writing! It's fun that you took two writing challenges at once! Birthdays have always intrigued me. I wonder why some people get so hung up on them and others don't care much about them at all. I explored this theme in my novel, The Proper Order of Things. I think this subject will always intrigue me, but I'm not sure why! I'm one of those people who doesn't do much for a birthday, unless it's a big one!

  • Thank manikandan!

Thank for your advice Alice. I like English but I don't have change using it in my work and my life. Sometime I right diary in English to keep me remember them. But it is not usual. Now with myEC I can write here and wait for feedback from other. It seem interesting. And they don't know who I am so I can express myself easily.

To setareh: thank you for your wish, sometime I feel sad but I will try to be an optimistic person and happy always. Hope you will enjoy my future note too.
  • To noaslpls: yes she did. And now she know that someone in the world dose not receive greeting message from their bank and mobile company. A new foundation. ^^.
  • To Mr. Expector Smith: you made my blog perfect with your comment with idiom ^^. Thank you for your informative ideal about octopus. That is what a long story and I believe I must find more information to understand all. And do you want to share about that story some day on your blog! :)
