There were a lot of occasions where we were exposed in situations that needed us to make a decision in a flash. Here is a situation I can share with you when I lend a helping hand to take care of my cousin's youngest child (at that time) who was just about 1 year old.I took her with me to visit one place one day. It was a little tiring for me because I have to carry my niece most of the time. I thought, she was just quite small to let her walk so I just carried her on our whole journey. On the way home, inside a public vehicle I thought of passing by my house first before I dropped her to their home. When we got off from a public vehicle, I crossed the street carrying her on my left arm. But, unfortunately as soon as I crossed over on the other side of the road with my baby niece, I was hit by a speedy vehicle on my right arm. On the road, I fell on my knees and felt that I had to fall on my back because of the unbearable pain I felt on my body but, I didn't let the shock rule my mind because I had my baby niece on my arm so at a slow pace I tried to stand up still carrying my baby niece until someone assisted me with my niece still on my arm in crossing the street. I brought her with me in our (parents) house then checked if something was wrong with my niece. I thanked God that she was fine. I then realized that if only my niece didn't cry at the time of the incident, I could had been unconciously lying down on the road. Shortly after that, I brought her back to my cousin's house and explained what happened. I apologized for what had happened and at night I went to see a doctor for an aching and swelling shoulder.Up until now, this has been an unforgettable episode in my life.by: LynneNovember, 2010.

I really think that my niece's guardian angel communicated with my angel at that time. We were both saved. Had I surrendered to that pain I really couldn't imagine now where to pick up my niece.

That's what I have in mind too even up to now. I think, sometimes we really have to take a break and think of the different situations in our lives. Sometimes, some gifts in life are not presented to us in attractive packages only in the passing of time we will come to realize it's true worth and meaning. :)

There was no problem. My back turned black but after a few weeks I became fine. I really think (even up to now) heaven sent a guiding spirit to help me.

You're right my baby niece was my first thought when it happened. The baby girl on my arm was the only thing that matters at that time and just ignored the pain I felt, though I noticed the commotion all those onlookers were creating.
The public vehicle that hit me stopped to check if I was alright. I was fine I guessed and just walked home carrying my niece.
