While introducing himself to a new batch in his class, an English teacher said, " my English is not good"
When the introductory class was finished, a student asked him a question, "Sir, when your English is not good, how can you teach the subject?
The teacher smiled and said, " it doesn't imply that I am unable to teach you English, but it implies that I am still desirous to improve English; it implies I still feel space that I need to fill; it implies I couldn't get to the level set by myself. In fact, we can't reach the climax or perfection in any language. There is always possibility of further Improvement. For we must gear up. I proudly say that I am still learner. That's what the message I wanted to covey you today".

A beautiful thought, usually people judge us and ask questions like that student did to his teacher. No one can have complete knowledge of anything be it a language or any other field of study. A teacher is one who teaches and learns with students always. Thanks for sharing this nice blog. :)

I really need a reader like you :) I totally agree with you. the students get confidence by believing in what the teacher teach. Expression of weakness before them may shake their confidence. I've noted your point and will convey it to that teacher. :)
It's a very meaningful story . Thanks for sharing it with us here . The teacher is a very humble and down to earth person . His aim was to teach them a higher value , which , is the never ending process of learning . A goal that might take our whole life . As they say " Every person is a learner , until he claims he knows everything , he will be considered as an ignorant "
However , this ambitious teacher was wrong . He shouldn't speak like that to students of young age because these youngesters are far away from their teacher mentality . I won't generalize . There are some who did understand their teacher deep thought but most of them don't . He should be cautious when speaking to students . It has been said that we should address people according to their levels of thinking or their minds .
