2. Learn and study phrases

Thanks for the comment josef, Of course I am learner, where i have mentioned here as I am a native speaker? :) I pure Sri Lnakan, and my grand papa also born here :) so I am not native English speaker at all, but i am a native sinhala speaker :)

  • Excellent blog post Ruwan but I'm confused. In your profile you are a Learner of English but in your blog post above you say you are a native speaker. Of course, we are all life-long learners, but somehow I don't think that's what you meant.

seems you are very interested on this blog, I think this is my 3rd or 4th reply for you isnt it? :)

Of course need more practice to get in fluent this language.

thank you again for the comments :)

  • Hi !

I agree to almost everything u say and today i m also able 2 find out the rationale behind the elegance n fluency in the English speaking of Srilankan cricketers.

  • Dear Ruwan

i believe practice makes perfect. in this case someone must be guided by guided english books or someone who is good at English if they have spoken or written in English. how can they be fluent in English if they never or seldom practice what they have studied.  thank you.

  • Dear DongYao

exactly you are right :) need more listening also speaking.. dont give up just keep trying till u get this fluent :)

    thanks for the comments

  • Thanks for sharing! It's a great site. I believe it'll be helpful for all non-native speakers. Grammar is also important but "If you want to pass examinations, then study grammar. However, if you want to become fluent in English, then you should try to learn English without studying the grammar." So everything depends on the learner.

  • Dr Kamal

Agree with you Kamal, at the beginning we all should have some rules, they are grammar in english.

When I was a student, I did the same :) but my speaking was poor :(

    thanks for the comments

    have a nice day...!!!!!

  • Thank you very much. Many times I'd like to study with movies. I find it's really funny, especially when phrases are far away from our book knowledge.
