28 Hours a day? (2) 23 Feb 2011

Last week, I shared with you three tips to improve efficiency, in my post, 28 Hours a day?-(1).

Do you still remember the three tips?

It’s best if you still remember them.

However, it doesn’t matter, if you forgot them already, or you didn’t read the post.

Before we start, let me recap the three points here for you.

  1. Catch and kill all the thefts
  2. 10 minutes make your life different
  3. Sleep at workplaces and schools

I am using them every day. They change my life. They are effective, so I really hope you can give them a try too.

Trust me you will feel the differences within one week.

Okay!

Now, let’s discuss three more tips to improve our efficiency.

1.Charge our battery regularly

It is easy to understand the fact that the more energetic our mind and body are, the more efficient we will be.

One way doing this is to create a list and record down whatever things that we enjoy doing. Those can relax ourselves or give us fun. I spend at least 30 minutes on them every day. On Saturday, I spend whole day on them as well.

It is useful. For example, I am stressed out recently, as I have too much to do, 5 examinations, many assignments, and a part-time job in these two weeks.

Therefore, today, while I went to return modem, I made good use of this opportunity to go to a very nice book shop and park.

After reading for one hour in book shop and sleep in the park for 30 minutes, my brain cells and other cells were rejuvenated. I feel very fresh, energetic again.

I like to relax myself, enjoy the melodious birds’ chirping sounds and followed by sleeping in a park. Really, it can be best described as a battery charging process.

This is my list.

  1. Lie down on the grass in a park, and feel the fresh air, bird chirping sounds, or visit tourist attractions.
  2. Eat in a good restaurant.
  3. Do some yoga.
  4. Read my favorite books.
  5. Listen to nice music or nice songs
  6. Watch my favorite actors’ movies.
  7. Write some light articles.
  8. Meditate.
  9. Walk relaxingly.
  10. 10. Cook.

2.If you cannot kill the thefts, you can try to make friends with them as well.

Try to find out all the thefts that steal your time and kill most of them. To those you can not kill, you can try to make friends with them. Let me give you an example. Today I needed to go a few places and spend at least 4 hours on waiting transports and on the transports. To deal with this problem, I read a book that I deliberately put in my bag in this morning while waiting. When I was on the transport, I tried to plan for this post, so that I could write it fast while I reached my house. You can also listen to English songs or English learn material on the transport too.

3.Manage our room and computer well.

Are your rooms in a mess? Do you need to spend a lot of time finding needed information or tools? Do your rooms make you feel uncomfortable?

If both of your answers are “no”, you do not have to continue reading.

If you are facing the problems above, please put every thing, included files in your computers in appropriate places all the times.

You also need to do a small cleaning every night and a big one every week.

By doing these, you can save time finding things, feel less stressed, and concentrate better.

At the end, I really hope you can try both the six tips I mentioned in these two posts.

A little action today can make your life different.

If you can improve your efficiency by 0.2 percent every day, you will have a brand new life after 100 days.

  • I also have the same experience of making friends with the thefts.

As I wait for the train or on the train, I usually close my eyes to take a rest and also listen to my MP3, that I've downloaded some English programs from the internet. It seems to kill two birds with one stone.

Thanks a lot for the practical advices.

  • Your tips are very usefull to refresh my mind, thank you Lucus =D
