Yeckkkk .... leeches can smell the smell of blood. Even when you are just trying to dip any part of your body into the water, they will come swimming in droves towards you.
Junco You've never been to a swamp have you? :) The air is usually stagnant and smells of decay. This is a small one but I never associate swamp with fresh air. Swamps can be pretty but usually not my choice for air fresheners.

Mickey the green scum on top of the water indicates it probably is not a good place to swim plus the water is probably very shallow.
