  • u are so lucky Bob , I never have seen a camel infront of me , we call it" the boat af desert (sahara) "
  • Martin,
If you have tasted fresh warm cow's milk the texture and warmth is similar, but it is sweeter. It will keep for several days without going bad, which gave me a hard time the first time I tried to turn some sour for buttermilk and yogurt. I expected it to sour easily like cow's milk by just leaving it out of the refrigerator and adding some live culture from some purchased sour milk.

Also the cream does not separate easily the way cow's milk does. I highly recommend it even if you have never tried any kind og fresh milk before.

    Bullseye,
A large bowl full is 10 SAR and 3.75 SAR are equal to one US dollar. So in US money we are talking $2.66. That is cheaper than the cow milk at the store and it tastes better too.
  • Yes I know the way of milking a camel, but I never try. I wish to do so one day!

  • Hi, Bob. how much is the camel milk per bowl..with the labor?

  • I thought I smelled cattle across the street from my house.  We are on the very edge of the city and I saw that they were camels when I got close.  Two men uncovered the mother so the baby could drink some.  Then they collected a large bowl of milk.
