I suspect it was used to store hay and feed for cattle. But that is just a guess. At one time they may have even kept horses. It gets very cold in this area in the winter.
Wow! a very old barn. For the size of this barn I imagine this property were many hundreds of acres. I would like to know which products stored here. :)
Yes it is made of wood with a tin roof. At one time it was probably painted red. This is typical of barns that are more than a few years old. Only recently have you seen a move to barns made of metal.
