Newfoundland and Labrador's administrative government declared a new immigration policy. This new immigration establishment's motive is to expand the horizon of the immigration process to newcomers, staying in the territory.
The new immigration pathway is known as the Priority Skills Newfoundland and Labrador, through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program(NLPNP), will target the highly skilled and educated applicants having requisite work experience.
This immigration scheme will also cater to employment opportunities in reputed sectors like technology. The program is going to be released on the 2nd of January 2021.
As Canada struggles with professional and technically equipped manpower, it will be a great step towards identifying potential and experienced workers.
Who Is Eligible For The Priority Skills Pathway?
PhD or Masters graduates from the Memorial University who got promoted in a period of last three years having a degree associated with ocean technology, communication technology, agriculture, healthcare, and aquaculture. Also, any specialist having working experience in the highly skilled high demand occupations like -

- Electrical Engineer

- Python Developer

Free Visa Assessment Form
Every applicant needs to determine their English Language Efficiency by appearing in any of the languages exams and securing a corresponding Canadian Language Benchmark of at least 5 or more.
The exams which can be opted for free visa assessment form includes-
- Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program(CELPIP)
- International English Language Testing System(IELTS)

The NLPNP program is categorised into five groups namely, Canada Express Entry Skilled Worker category, Skilled Worker Category, International Graduate category, International Entrepreneur category, and the International Graduate Entrepreneur category.
