"lawyers-in-action!"

Its a hectic day and I am a bit tired.

But here I am, updating my blog! =)

Today I had a discussion for my Mock Trial project. So, all ten of my group members were present at the library to discuss on arguments for our project.

Basically, Mock Trial is a project where law students have to present their case in front of a judge. The judge may be either a real judge or a lecturer who plays a role as a judge. Its only an act and basically it is an imitation trial over certain case. In other words, we pretend to be real lawyers or prosecutors and present our case as if we are in a real court.

Here, we have been assigned with some sort of situation/task (question) regarding a murder case where my group is a prosecution group. To make it short, my group is responsible to prosecute 5 accused persons for murdering a kickboxer guy. One of the accused is a pregnant lady who happened to be the deceased's wife.

Oh..I am so tired.

Sorry, I can't continue any more,

Just let the pictures speak for me.. ^_^

"The world has so many lessons to teach you. I consider the world, our earth, to be like a school, and our life, the classrooms. Sometimes on our planet life school, the lessons often come dressed up as detours and road blocks and sometimes as full blown crises. And the secret I've learned to getting ahead is being open to the lessons."

(I got lost in that building when I was in my first semester!)

This picture has nothing to do with the library

Just that I missed her so much!!! :(

[picture: she was busy with her notebook, writing a blog i guess! ^_^]

My English experience

i remembered that during my high school days, my English was super bad and i meant it was really really really bad. i wrote triple 'really' so that you can imagine how awful and terrible it was.

there was once, during English examination, we were asked to write a narrative essay. we were given few boxes of simple cartoon pictures along with some short notes stated under each picture. it was a story about a thief who entered 'my' house during midnight.

i remembered how struggled i was to write even one paragraph. i had limited vocabulary and limited imagination. well, while writing about the second picture- the picture showed 'me' woke up at midnight to get rid of my thirst, i wrote it till suddenly i stopped. i stopped because i wanted to write that i took a bottle from the fridge but i forgot the word 'fridge/refrigerator'.

i left it blanked and continued with the essay until i finished it. but still, there was a hole in my second paragraph for the word 'refrigerator'. i even wrote it in my language by using a pencil. 2 minutes before the time ended, i was still struggling forcing my brain searching and recalling for such word.

it was a very last minute until a word (that i thought was a refrigerator word) pop out from my mind! and i quickly wrote it on the blank place i left before. so, i finished my essay successfully - was what i thought!

until the day we get back our paper after my teacher marked it, i remembered while she was calling my name, she looked at me and grinned. while walking towards her, i was like..what?what? and when the paper was exchanged between us, she said, whispering to me "messy, i never knew that you have to take a bottle of water from your volkswagen at midnight".

i was still confused at that time. i looked at my paper and there was a big circled on the word 'volkswagen'. i mumbled and asked my friend, what was wrong with that word. she laughed till her face turned red.

she said, "messy, do you know what volkswagen is?" and i replied, confidently, "of course! it is a refrigerator!" (using my language).

arghhh..you know the rest right, readers? that was really embarrassing! i can't forget how red my face was for the whole day and my friends kept teasing me with that word, Volkswagen! (till today)

i wonder, how did that word came across my mind..ohhoo..
