When there is Faith

When there is Faith

Michelle Regno

Things go wrong, yes they do

Sometimes you think it's all about you

You look at the sky for answers

But most of the time it's in closed eyes in prayers

The travel sometimes goes long and wide

Seems endless no matter how fast the stride

But if you slow down and watch inside

It's in the silence that our hearts confide

There are battles we choose and ones we ignore

We sometimes stop sailing to go ashore

The halt does not mean we wish to quit

The choice to fight we see deem fit

At times the sun seems ceased to shine

We wonder how this life defines

But then again we just have to wait

Better things come when there is faith

Chill Out

By Michelle

Sometimes life's a joke so we better chill out

We need to relax and forget the doubts

For sometimes things don't really go in place

But that doesn't mean our life's a waste

There are times we get tired, so we think of giving up

Hey! It's not the end you just have to chill out

Come on, cheers, raise your cup

At the end of the day things will work out

Challenge yourself to tame your mind

After all life could also be so kind

If only you think it is to you

Then things will be easy for others, too

Chill out, my friend, the best is yet to come

The horizon is bright so keep calm

Face the day with a smile not a pout

Come on, cheers, just chill out

Our Own Small World

My name is Michelle A. Regno

Obviously, my name does not ring a bell to all of you.

But, in my own small world, I am confident that it does—- to my students and former students.

In my own small world, I have:

1. put thousands of smiles to my students’ faces.

2. touched their hearts one way or another.

3. inspired some to be educators, too.

4. shown them my commitment to their learning.

5. let them know that they are valued.

6. created different ‘shows’ to make lessons fun.

7. made them laugh so hard that they had tears in their eyes.

8. shown I care for them silently but they felt it.

9. shared to them why I always want to look good and dress well- as part of personal grooming and hygiene

10. taught them the English language but specially taught them about life.

Maybe your name does not ring a bell, too. But I am sure that in your own small, special world, it definitely does.
