Writer's block is a serios issue that may happen to each and every writer either professional or not. This could be a threatening thing for professional writers indeed, as it is how people earn their living. No writing is no money. For some reason a writer gets tongue-tied. Nothing comes to one's mind for a certain period of time and this may be a dreadful and stressful experience. However, one has to fight it.

How Can One Fight the Writer's Block?

First and foremost, one has to keep on writing come what may. Trying to write down the ideas, any ideas that come to one's mind may be a good solution to the problem. One may seek lost inspiration in another location. Changing the writing space may help switch on the bain.

Having a Break from Writing

Another thing that could help in such a case is to have a break. The break of any kind may give the brain a sort of rest that could be just what it needs at that state. Going out, meeting friends, having a coffee or a tea, having a walk somewhere in your favourite park may do good and fight the writer's block. If a short break does not work, then one should take a substantial one. Travelling is a good solution to the problem, experiencing something new and unknown can work like a miracle.

Why Could Such a Technique Work?

Such a change can work, as the state of unknown might make the brain process in a new way by creating new neurological connections in the brain, the ones never created before. This state of adventure and new works for the brain as something extremely dreadful and stressful. It is stress that restarts the brain and makes it operate in a new way and light, by creating new potential energy and make the new ideas and thoughts flow just like that. Such a phenomenon is scientifically proved.

An unknown makes the bain work faster and see the world in a new light, through an altered perspective.

This particular technique works better than a simle change of activities one is well aware of. The change of mental brain activity with the physical one may not work with professional writers, whose brain is accustomed to slight brain changes. That is why, a completely new experience is needed for starting the writer's brain.

Learning a New Language

Learning a new language is without a doubt extremely helpful in starting the brain.  The golden rule is so simple, i.e. new neurological connections equals new thoughts and ideas.

People who keep on dealing with the language by learning new words stay in a good state of mental health throught their life. This is a bright example of how learning a language makes the brain work faster and in a proper way.

That is why, it is a good idea to learn a new language that can definitely help one get rid of the writer's block. Learning a new language can be a challenge that needs time and afforts, but it is worth it.

Going Back to One's Piece of Writing

One may fight the writer's block by writing step by step, piece by piece. It works as one may always shift the ideas and make a twist in the story or plot. What could help is the devision of the bulk of the writing into pieces. Such a devision may help the writer to come up with new ideas and create a new picture in the mind and then write everything down.

No Deleting What Has Been Already Written Down

When the writer's block comes, then the writer may feel displeased with everything that comes to his/her mind as s/he feels that this is simply not the way things should be written down. This feeling of dissatisfaction can cause a real problem for a writer. That is why, it is advised not to delete anything that comes to mind at the time the writer's block is coming or has already hit the writer. When one feels like deleting everything that comes and a strong or very strong feeling of dissatisfaction with every word written, then it is better not to write anything at all. A short break may do and help the writer to overcome this issue.

If this feeling is a prolonged one and lasts for a certain period of time, it is better to ask for a piece of advice of a professional writer who may share his/her experience and help out. One may find such a support and guidance at FindWritingJob.com.
