The Echo

A son and his father are walking in the mountains. Suddenly, the son falls, hurts himself, and screams: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!” To his surprise, he hears a voice repeating, somewhere in the mountains: “AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!” Curious, he yells out: “Who are you?” He receives the answer: “Who are you?” And then he screams to the mountain: “I admire you!” The voice answers: “I admire you!” Angered at the response, he screams: “Coward!” He receives the answer: “Coward!” He looks to his father and asks: “What’s going on?” The father smiles and says: “My son, pay attention.” Again, the man screams: “You are a champion!” The voice answers: “You are a champion!” The boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: “People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competency in your team, improve your own competency. This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life. Life will give you back everything you have given to it. Your life is not a coincidence. It’s a reflection of you!Now stop and think for a moment. Are you paying attention and listening to your echo? From what life seems to be calling out to you, what are you calling out to life? Aleks pattakos " prisoners of our thoughts....

    Hi Emilie,

It's a great story .I like this kind of stories. You always bring us nice stories which is full of wisdom.I read somewhere the meaning of the word echo in greek mythology. They think this sound caused by godness called nymph whose unrequited love for Narcissus caused her to pine away until nothing but her voice remained.Thank you for this great lesson.

    hi dear
it was a nice & thoughtful story.i BELIEVE in this fact that our life is the reflection of our thoughts.
we have this in holy Quran too when it says :"Whoever acts righteously, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is to its detriment, and your Lord is not tyrannical to the servants."(chapter Fosselat).
but there is another fact that our Lord is so kind to us that whenever we do something good He instead of reflecting its consequences to us once, double-reflects it and it is better to say that He shows its reflection in your life many many times-like when you shout in a mountain your voice reflects frequently, but the difference is that God's answer doesn't stop and doesn't become less colorful.whenever u commit a sin He instead of repeating the reflection just reflects it once (if u don't repeat it)and even He forgets abt ur sins many mny tmes if u r regretful.
    really nice story of life.
    thnx:)
