STORY TIME CORNER :-)

Hi,

I started this discussion where I want to share the simple real life stories that have something special and valuable inside.

I decided to start this discussion about the unusual people because not all but some of them touch very deeply and make me thinking about many things.

I'd like you to share your thoughts and ideas you get after reading it. Maybe it will lead us to somewhere.

Actually I don't like just stories. I like real stories about real people and with photos :) If you have such stories, please, share it here and don't forget to post photos.

If not, then join this discussion. Maybe if we change our collective thinking, something will change in this world, too.

So the story that impressed me yesterday. And impressed a lot. I decided to translate it to you (I'm sorry if I spell Chinese names with mistakes). I'll write later what impressed me a lot. But before it - let's read and see :)

A STORY ABOUT 2 CHINESE MEN WHO PLANTED 10 000 TREES

Czya Haiksa and Czya Van Zi are the most busiest bees in this world. One is blind by birth, and the other one doesn't have 2 arms. But it allowed them (even they are old enough) to plant 10 000 trees in 12 years.

Their story shows that there is nothing impossible in this world.

These two men became friends 10 years ago when they were searching for the work.

They decided to save their village from flood. They took the land along the river and started planting the trees.

Every day they go to their work at 7 o'clock in the morning. They have nothing but their old metal hammer and wires. They don't have money to buy young trees so they take the fresh branches of the trees (and imagine that it's not so easy if you can't see and you don't have arms).

"We are good partners", - say these men. "I'm his eyes, and he is my arms" - this is how they work together.

"We stand on the ground very confidently though we eat only bread and water. But our hearts are full of peace and harmony".

Best regards,

Honey Bee

  • Unfortunately I couldn't watch the video by my mobile, but the pictures and words were enough to touch my heart. Nice story. It shows the importance of communication. We need to be heard and to be understood by others. For this guy it was even more important because except few people others never had any relation with him. He was so happy to see that there are so many people who learned his language and tried to communicate with him. Thanks for sharing.

    • Irena Sandler's deed

This is Irena Sandler. Do you know who she is? I guess no. No one knew this woman until she was nominated for Nobel prize in 2007.

During the second world war as a worker in Warsaw health organization she saved 2500 children from death.  She saved kids' names in glass jars in order to find their parents after the war.

In 1943 she was arrested and tortured by Nazi. They broke her 2 arms and 2 legs but she survived. She had to be killed but was saved by polish officers and hid herself all her life.

In 2008 the Nobel Prize was given to Albert Gore (vice-president of the US) and the same year was the year of her death. She was 98 years old.

I guess at least 2500 of children will remember this woman forever. R.I.P.

    • ANONYMOUS HERO OF THE WORLD.I SALUTE HER SOUL.

  • Both of your stories are so nice. I hope we learn from them. I heard some where that we could learn from our obstacles. They will help us to get creative. What we need is to change the way we look at our problems.
