I think you are great at interpretation of any pictures and I am not very good at it. But, the first time that I looked at it, I was shocked and asked: who will win? But, as you said, if pawns be united, they will win since they have the potentian to be the queen. But, they must be very wise and united and have plan. you know what? always oddity makes people contemplate....here we see an strange arrangement...so our mind tries to make head or tale of it and tries to find a description for this new style....
here is a part of what i see in this pic:
in my opinion the arrangement at the BOTTOM ,looks more complete...PAWNS are so strong ,but we sometimes ignore their role....also they outnumber the black pack....
besides ,here there is no white piece;why? black vs green;like the devil vs nature...what do you think?
but the board is in black and white;why? to remind us that we have just two extremes ...either you can be black or white...maybe the green pieces will be promoted if they try hard and if they don't be removed by black....what do you think?
another idea;when we want to play chess ,we have special openings. but here at the top of the pic you see that there is no need for opening ;it is free to attack ,but at the same time ,it is free to be attacked;the king is always in danger....
another thing;if the pawns here are ordinary pawns ,they should go forward step by step ;they can't jump at once,but the other side is free ;it has a free queen ....
one more thing which comes to my mind is that i see unity in the green pack and this unity is more important than having a few powerful pieces ;what do you think?
