                The Peace sign

The internationally recognized symbol for peace was originally designed for the British nuclear disarmament movement by Gerald Holtom in 1958.!

The symbol is a combination of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D," standing for "nuclear disarmament".

In semaphore the letter "N" is formed by a person holding two flags in an upside-down "V,"and the letter "D" is formed by holding one flag pointed straight up and the other pointed straight down.

Superimposing these two signs forms the shape of the centre of the peace symbol....

    • hmmmmmmm.......looks like a BMW logo!

....the hand sign for peace is also famous for its meaning....

The advantage of this hand sign is that you can easily flash it and show the gesture of peace to whoever you want to have peace with..........it takes only seconds to lift your hand up and express PEACE!  ......and everybody understands it!

In war, a white cloth is usually raised and waved to signal PEACE offering........which is commonly misinterpreted as a sign of "SURRENDERING".

I don’t know why I don’t have good feeling toward it?
What do you think? Can you see any symbol of peace in this sign?!!!!

      1. I think it more looks like vehicle’s logo!
      2. In my positive version, might something like a road which connects the circle as the symbol of whole world!
      3. In negative sight, I don’t know why I cannot get any symbol of peace in this design, exactly
innverse, I feel frightening because I can see only a circle as glob where something like this rocket is ….

      What do you think?!
Do you perceive any peace and calm clue in it?
      What about this one?

The broken rifle symbol is used by War Resisters' International

But I don’t like it at all too, it is showing a tool of war that might is broken after disastrous warfare,..!

36385929855207491634.jpgI think it much better, I don’t know where its source and who designed it, but it looks more logical.
Look at flying bird which is really a symbol of freedom and always had been a messenger in ancient time,…
And olive leaves in her bill that always has been using as peace symbol.
If we consider this circle as universe this lovely dove is messaging for whole cosmos peace and calm, ..??
