We had a runner too in this race,but he failed soon.but in trowing discus we got a silver medal by Hadadi .

actually anybody likes his own compatriot competition and follow more that sport. me too I follow wrestling, weight lifting,.. and beside I liked and watch diving too.
and as you stated and I do agree that they are all Best.
representative of their country and their attempt is valubale even if they do not get medal.

yes,there are less than 200 countries in the world!
Not every country competes in the olympic,192 nations have sent athletes.
the others are either territories like American Samoa(US),British Virgin Island (UK),...
or are called as unrecognized countries that allowed to compete!!

I like the symbol of Olympic so much. The five colorful circle which refers to each Continent and they are joining to each other in a symple and beautiful way.

I follow the news of my country, Iran, at each field and its gold medal in wrestle made me so happy. All of athletics are the Best for me because they could be in Olympic games which is admirable.
Hope that all of them will be successful from whole the world.
