Let's Discuss Your Idea about a Short Story Challenge

Hi, my friends! I have promised you to start a new challenge where you will be able to write your stories using your own vocabularies. So, I am ready to start it, but I'd like to agree some detailes.

First, I think we should choose the topic. Otherwise, it won't be possible to estimate your writing. Please, choose one of the following or add yours:

1. Romance.

2. Suspence (detective).

3. Thrill/horror.

4. SCI-FI.

5. Parable.

You all will have to write on the same topic.

Besides, unlimited vocabulary doesn't mean unlimited lenth. All challenges are supposed to be corrected or, at least, commented. So, if you like your stories to be corrected, they must be not more than 200 words long. Sure, you can write longer stories, but I don't guarantee their correction. I'd like to say if an author can express his mind within some limits, he is a good writer.

I have to add, both Tanya and I are busy with our work and you will have to wait for our replies.

So, if you agree with my rules and help me choose the topic, we will start before the weekend.

Hello Danny. Interesting comments by both Evangelina and Luci.So if you agree with Luci that sci-fi can incorporate paranormal etc, I can offer 200 words. I contribute to Wattpad but they class the gener separately.

As far as Evangelina's comment is concerned, my story would fall in behind Fairy Tale quite comfortably.... Barnaby

Well... in my opinion sci-fi isn't only about aliens and spacecrafts but also about some mysterious or paranormal things we can't explain... for instance traveling in time etc...

Well, my friends! Taking into account all your comments, we have to choose among three topics now. They are:

1. Sci-FI ( most of you have chosen this category).

2. Thrills/horrors (half of you like it)

3. Suspence/ detective stories ( a few of you have chosen it)

A new topic proposed, i.e., ghosts/paranormal can be considered as thrill (ghosts) or Sci-FI (paranormal), agree?
