Yes it does most of the time, because the conditions keep changing, and make the partner/s confused and suspicious...............this is well prevailing in European societies...............that's why they need to keep repeating "I LOVE YOU DEAR"

No relationship needs the walking stick to walk through. My mother is always my mother, her love is always with me, and mine for her. I do not have to wait for MOTHER DAY to say I LOVE YOU MOTHER. I can say this to her any time.

There is no discussion of advantages and disadvantages.
I just emphasize on the relationship itself and not on the occasions.
Commercialism is that it emphasize on the occasions, relationship become secondary.
If I love someone, I will not wait for a certain day to express it, rather I would prefer
to shower my love every moment of my life with her.
I am not against celebrations, but my point of view LOVE BEYOND any material medium.
