A Bench With Own Secrets

Even though it was foggy and cold, I decided to take a walk with my kids because I just felt like they need some fresh air stay. Since I love photography I took some pictures and then all of a sudden a lawesome bench caught all my attention. I got obsessed with taking the pictures of it and started thinking, how many secrets it may hide. This place we visited was the historical place with a big memorial dedicated to the victims of the World War 2 and the fist thing, which was on my mind was: "How all those fights here looked like?" Many people died and 80% of the village was destroyed, but luckily the Russian army in the end saved this part of region from the German dictatorship.

When you take a closer look, you can see that this bench is not anything historical. Therefore our life is hectic and we sitll lack time, I am convinced that many people found here inner peace and enjoyed their stay. How many lovers were sitting on it, promising love to eath other and how many of them stood together? Life is short and I bet many mothers were siting on this bench watching their kids playing in front of them. How many mothers are now proud of those kids after many years? Also an old men on his walk may have taken a rest and may have sit on it and think about his life and this place.

Foggy weather has its own magic, it is kind of scary but mysterious, that is why I like the atmosphere of it. Places that are clearly visible might be in a few minutes covered by the thick fog and lost till the end of the day. Dear bench, I hope you will be there for many years no matter if hidden in fog or not, I hope your untold secrets will be increasing day by day!

  •  Love it Luci!  There is an enigma in places we find trite and ordinary and it is eyes like yours that can reveal its treasures. Hope you keep sharing and discovering wonderful things like this! :)

  • Great! Vivid imagination!

The bench has seen so many things in the past and remains there. I'm curious about it, too. There must have been a very very happy love story that happened on it.

By the way, recently I've had difficulty logging on to MyEC - sometimes MyEC wouldn't open for me no matter how hard I tried.

  • Elf, thank you, m glad you enjoyed it! ;-)

Inna, thanx for comment... well, there were many similar trees, that is why they didn't catch my atention. As for lawsome it is of course a typo.. LONESOME was on my mind.

  • The tree looks the most remarkable to me... I guess it is the gardener speaking in me.:)))) By the way, what kind of a bench is a lawesome bench?Put there by some law?

  • Nice Blog..I really enjoyed it during reading..

  • Oi Luci,

Thanks a lot for sharing another of your fantastic blogs. I read it with interest and amuzement as the three heroes - the park bench by a big, old tree in the fog - form a romantic and touching trio.

To my own thinking, there is also the fourth hero, the mistletoes on the old tree. In our culture, they are the lover's good luck charm. The mistletoes are a must in Christmas time, they decorate the entrance into the room with the x-mas tree. Couples going through that doorway stop and kiss each other hoping for a long lasting and happy marriage.

As usually, your writing is just lovable. On many a times I envied the fine thoughts and feeling carried in your wordings.

Keep it up, my lovely neighbourica over that long mountain range between the both of us.

  • I just love the way you think :)

  • The bench and the tree could be talk each other about their secret where we cannot hear their talk

  • Thank you all for nice comments, guys ;-)
