  • Thank you Robbie! Yes, she's Filipino AND American now!

  • I'm glad she's a Filipino! Congratulations for her new citizenship. It must have been a memorable experience for both of you. Thanks for sharing! : )

By the way, Congratulations, for being our new star member!

  • Ha! Well that sounds like an excellent start Lee Young Jae! I'm not a US citizen myself, so I don't know, but there's lots of information here:

  • I found it interesting that the officials at the ceremony made a point of telling everyone at the start that we were allowed to capture the event in photos, video or however we liked. I found it a surprisingly moving occasion and I'm so glad you enjoyed seeing it too.

  • I almost forgot I was watching a video, and I actually started clapping. That is the sign of a great video. I always wondered what these ceremonies were like. I'm a bit shocked that they let you in to capture a video! Thank you so much for adding this.

Question for learners: How did this new citizen feel after the ceremony?

  • Do you want to become and US citizen? One of my friends became a US citizen earlier this year and she let us video the ceremony. Let me know if you like the video.
