HONE YOUR POETIC SKILL! :)

[NEW EDITED] Everybody has a feeling. If you pour it into poetry, it may become some wonderful thoughts for others. Whether you’re experienced or not, whether you’re skilled in poetry or not, please ignore and let’s try to make a poem. So, here is the challenge :)

  1. Choose ONLY ONE of the ‘words’ from the Guess My Word’s game written below. You can repeat the word or improve with the some parts of speech of the word in your poem.
  2. Make at least 4 lines of poem includes the word you choseYou are free in whatever your style, whatever your mood… happy, sad, enthusiastic, humorous, or serious, but ... obscenity or mocking religion.
  3. Make your own blog with the title ‘Poem Challenge: [your title]’ or your own title (You can make more than one poem)
  4. I suggest you give a short definition about the word you chose at the end of your blog, if it is necessary. This is for the sake of learners.
  5. If you’re doubt or confused to give the title, you can write ‘untitled’ and ask the opinion from the commentator. :))

There are many words here. :D You can read the meaning of the words MORE in this Group OR directly visit the discussion [WORDS number 1 to 10, 11 to 2021 to 30, 31 to 40] OR check it out in online dics (Longman, Cambridge, Oxford)  or search on Google. I hope everybody can use different words and all will be used up. :) Thanks a million. I will try to make a list of your poems here. Here is mine as an example. :D

I Didn't Dare

I didn’t dare to say
I didn’t dare to see
I didn’t dare to draw near
I even didn’t dare to be seen in front of you
I was not hurt
I just avoid being hurt
Just because of ...
your superciliousness

Shocked

You came
You sat on the sofa
You called me
I didn’t notice
I was shocked to see blood
My head was bleeding
I noticed that
colander flew striking my head

I’m sorry… LOL

I’m looking forward to reading yours. I know you're all so creative. :)

This idea came up from the suggestion from Risty Aven who wants to use the words after the guessing the words in the game. Yes, most of the words are rarely used as Expector said. That's why we call it challenge. :D Thank you so much for Risty and all who support this way of learning vocabulary.

Have a pleasant week! ^_^
