I'm very eager to post some pictures of moon cake.

Thank Onee-chan and setareh for enjoying our culture. And here are the pictures.

Firstly, the traditional cakes includes baking cake (the brown one) and soft cake (the white one):

In the past (especially in the North) a moon cake box includes 2 baking cakes and 2 soft cakes. The white one is usually round and the brown one can be squared or round.

Nowadays (especially in the south) I rather see the soft cake. We usually have a box of 4 baking cakes with different flavors. 2.jpg

The flavor causes by the middle of the cake. We can have dry meet, melon nut, and waxy pumpkin for the salty cake. Beside we have sweet cakes with many kinds of materials. For example: green tee, green peas, Indian taro, tiramisu or chocolate…. Tiramisu and chocolate are 2 new flavors nowadays. 3.jpg

The centre of the cake is usually one or two salty eggs.4.jpg

You also can see different shapes like this: 5%20piggy%20mooncake1%20%281%29.JPG

Nowadays you can also see many modern moon cakes. People even can create moon cake from ice cream: 7.jpg

And here is a shaddock (pomelo) puppy. Is it cute? :)

It is great to enjoy the full moon with moon cake and tee.9.jpg

(Actually in my country language we call it Mid-autumn cake. But translating to English, it becomes moon cake. And in my crowded city we might not be able to see the full moon).

I love moon cakes. And over here, the 'Halal' (of which is prepared in accordance to Islamic law) moon cakes are easily available, so I can always eat them. :D :D They are indeed yummy.
