°•●○ Have you ever looked to the stars ○●•°

Have u ever looked to the stars ? Let me assume that the majority of us will say no ....
Modern days are depriving us from essential habits , that were used intrinsically by our ancestors.
Observing stars at night weren't just for fun . It was a a survival matter.
By stars people identified months and years , were able to cross deserts and know their way back or sail in a mid of oceans without losing hope of return
Farmers knew the exact time to grow their crops and predict weather changes and seasons start or ends .
They even claimed the effect of stars upon their souls and lives a thing which I don't believe .
What will happen if any catastrophe clashed . Can u take a look to the stars
Meditate their far away shimmering lights and recall their names or make our wishes or prays . We aren't looking up any more :)

Allama Iqbal the poet and a philosopher once said:

There are worlds beyond stars + still there are more exams of Ishq (love).

This is the love of the creation for the creator, the poet is talking about. He is inviting to see the stars and thinks what worlds might be beyond them and how all these have become in their existence.

Rosemary I know your native is Arabic.  Seek in to the Quran you will find the answer to which is thinker is talking about.

Btw, many of the stars we look at night are dead already... just a thought for these people who make a wish on a star...

Nice topic, thanks for sharing.

"Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious." ~Stephen Hawking

I really appreciate ur comments Mr Josef . I was sitting alone at night as usual with my cell phone , when I asked myself that question and yes I haven't looked to the sky at night for years and I was wondering is it me only , who isn't doing it anymore !!! I still remember an old age women from my city is talked with . She had more information about astronomy than me .
That woman was illiterate but she had that knowledge because of her work in farming , she told me alot about stars , when they appear , what will happen and she knew all about their shapes and names . I was astonished that time .
:) I will try to spot Saturn in the sky thanks for telling me , it a new information and let me express my ample gratitude for u Mr Josef because My English Club means alot for me and many members here :)
