ALERTS TO THREATS
IN 2013 EUROPE
From JOHN CLEESE
The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists h…

When I was a kid, say an elementary-school girl, I had the dream of being a bride. Even I had a real person in my mind to be my spouse-my cousin. Now, my childhood dream has come true, and I am married to that exact person. It is interesting that I never said a thing about marriage to the groom of my dreams. Even, when we were high-school students, we just used to have simple hi and byes and nothing special. Thank…

Dear Captain,
I bet you have seen the sunset for many times. Just now I was sitting on the bench in the garden of the hospital and witnessing the sun to set downhill. After a tired day, Mr. Sun looked pale and climbed up the top of the mountains in the west laboriously, like an old man who got cardiopathy limping…

Dear EC friends, this is my first time to join a writing challenge here. And believe me, it took me 2 days to write my blog.
When I was a child my dream is to become a teacher. My teachers in my elementary grades influence me a lot. I see teachers way back then as perfect person. But when I grow up, ambition of becoming a teacher was replaced to become a nurse. I like to see their uniforms, all white from head to toe. That's my only reason behind…

The waiting to departure is the hardest feeling which makes Hussan different from others .Hussan sees everything in a dissimilar way , he has talked to himself since he approached forty, always heave sighs as if the weight of the world lies on his shoulder , saying” it's time to stop before the end of the road , to ponder a lot.
Hassan’s eyes as same as others, but he looks at things in his own way .He focuses on the vanished…

What a familiar topic! I've been asked so many times about my dream by different people whether family and friends or just acquaintances or even strangers. Often I feel shy to tell them my real dream. Gradually my dream becomes a secret of myself and I lock it in my deep heart.
What a nice challenge! I feel like taking it and speak…

As a child, I didn’t have any dreams. I wonder, “Why I didn’t have any dreams”. May be, I was content with my life or I didn’t think much about my future. Whenever teachers asked about my ambition or goal, I used to say something that pops into my mind at that time to satisfy my teachers. When family friends and relatives inquired about my ambition, I used to say “Ï don’t have any”. My parents comforted me that I will have big dreams when I grow up.
Now, my dream is to move up the…

I have a Dream
When I was a child, my dream kept on changing. One day, I wanted to be a policewoman, another day a soldier, and yet another day, I wanted to be a doctor. Living in a village with a few modern facilities such as electricity and television (at that time only a few houses had a television), my exposure to the world was through books and teachers. To be a…

The girl stops, see him and says: If you give me your keys, I will make you surprise. The gives the girl his keys. The girl gets into his car and drives away.

When I was a kid I dreamed of becoming a teacher. I loved this because teachers are very close to their pupils and young learners. So, I wanted to become just like my teacher and imitated her in every thing.
But, when I grew up a little and became 12 , I wanted to specialize in Arabic Literature just like my mom. Indeed, She was my ideal person and the nearest to me.
But, years had passed and I became more mature. A high school student who was lucky to have a great English…
