I wanted to update as soon when The new KDE 4.2 was released
at January 27. But because I don't count myself as a big expert of Computer.. Although many people think I'm the one. Really I'm not. Yes I'm using Linux. But when taking manuals away. I'm helpless. I'm not the true Computer guy. Maybe I just dislike Microsoft's unfriendly licensing policy. Anyway. Now it seems, that Everything is working after full system update, together… Continue

Reading is the only way for me to stay in touch with English langauge, since I do not have the opportunity to use it in my daily life to communicate. While reading one acquires a language, because he enters a world where he can find love, hate, death, life...as Julius Lester says:"Open a book and enter a world that must be as beutiful as flowers opening in the spring"and in an other extract he says:"Letters made words, and words made visible the felt unseen." Besides, reading helps to learn… Continue

I would like to recommend this book to the ones who have not read it before. I like this book very much because I found some common views with the author. His book helps me have a clearer vision of the world, of the living around me.

I noticed that when you add a picture to your blog entry. You can specify the position of picture, if the text is wraped around of it, and u can create a thumbail, but it miss one important thing. Margins around the image. Well. It's fine not to have it, since the dialog wouldn't fit to screen with too many opinions. But it adds 0 pixels of clearance as default. In my opinion it doesn't look nice when text douches the picture. In both cases when picture is aranged to left and also when it's on… Continue

This poem is meaningful to me. I first saw this at the bookstore long time ago... (during my high school days) I had spent some spleepless nights pondering about this poem, but because of some reasons, I couldn't get a copy of it. Though, I was able to give it as a gift to a dear friend, I couldn't have a copy for myself. Then after some years, when it was completely out of my mind, the poem came to me again. This time, it's mine for I received it as…

I will try to write a spontaneous text below :) for friends who has no idea about us.
Turkey is located Between Asia and Europe. It has a "Horizontal Rectangular" map. On north there is Black Sea. On south there is Mediterranean Sea. On the West there is Egean Sea. Between Egean and Black Seas there is Marmara Sea. Namely, Turkey is neighbouring to 4 seas. But is "disputable" if Turkey is "making use of them".
What about… Continue

Watch films in English with subtitles.
Watch film on a computer, on laptop, on digital player. Make sure you can pause the film any time. When you hear interesting phrase and you already know where you are going to use it, pause the film, write out a new phrase. In the end you’ll probably have 20-50 new phrases. Do not write out every phrase. Start with film that you’ve already seen in your native language many times

Beside of watching Animes and doing nothing. I like sometimes to draw something. Usually it's some unknown Anime/cartoon-like caracter. It's easier to draw those, because when some limb happens to gome out too big, or bigger than it's partner, when whole posture looks like it falls down. I can allways say, that it's just a feature, not an error. Although when drawing with computer. Mistakes are easyer to fix. Especially when using vector graphic editor like Inkscape. I still have big trouble to… Continue

My 1st blog will definitely be about introducing myself. I'm Polomi.
I have a beautiful life as blessed by the Almighty. I'm an optimist, of every success and complications that come through my life. Even an year ago I was not the way I am today. I was shy and followed others. I always thought that the kind of person I really am might not be acceptable to the others. So insisted myself to become someone preferable to everybody. But then I… Continue

This week I received an e-mail from Caramail, the service I use tu receive messages. The message says that Caramail is going to cancel all the services it offers to its custemors since it does not gain or made any benifits out of them. The upcoming Chinese lunar new year is called 'year of the ox'. Every lunar year has a different kind of animal to name the year. Only 12 kinds of animals are chosen. In addition to 'ox', the others are 'rat', 'tiger', 'hare', 'dragon', 'snake', 'horse', 'sheep', 'monkey', 'cock', 'dog', 'boar'.
Why the ancient Chinese chose these animals as the symbols: a long story. Every animal means differently to the people living in the land thousands of years ago. But, to me, what's important… Continue

My father told me that he had left three things for me, his good reputation, books and his cassettes. He gave me a notebook filled with famous poems from reknown poets. He gathered this collection since his childhood. This notebook accompanied him in life hardship and now he gave it to me. My father said he did not have huge money or property to leave, except these cultural products and he emphasized that nothing is important than righteousness and good reputation in life. These are his legacy… Continue
