Wisconsin Capitol #1

Madison is the capital city of the State of Wisconsin, USA. The State Capitol is located on an isthmus formed by Lake Mendota to the north (upper) and Lake Monona to the south (lower). I can’t take a picture from the sky, so the image was brought from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madison,_Wisconsin) :)

  • Hi Karenina, thank you for nice comment. Wisconsin is the state of prairie. To protect a good view, making a tall building is prohibited. So, we feel very relaxed when we walk around the town.
  • Thank you Fizzy. Yeah, they are cool jets. The air force base is on the other side of the lake. So, sometimes they are noisy T_T
  • thats so cool..
  • It's great, though I am willing to concede that some architects wouldn't agree with me.
    Thank you a lot!!!
  • Hi natasha, thanks for your interest! It seems that different US states have different styles of capitol buildings. It will be fun to explore them.

I used to live in Boston, Massachusetts. I liked the statehouse there too.

    Again from Wikipedia
  • Hello, yoh,
What I can see is as interesting as beautiful! There is even a local The State Capitol! In Russia state buildings don't look like famous ones in Moscow. I love taking a good look at different kinds of buildings-I'm interested in it.
  • Hi Rosenmaiden, than you for the comment. Wisconsin has thousands of beautiful glacial lakes like this. The names of places and lakes in Wisconsin often sound unfamiliar (like Mendota, Monona, and even Wisconsin), because they come from the languages of native Americans.
  • Hi, Yoh!
Madison is a very beautiful sity! It is a well-groomed one. The Lake Mendota and the lake Monona look like seas! The planes are very serious!
