Ubelicious

I learnt how to bake! These are two slices of ube bread with coconut sport as toppings. Ube is a type of root crop which is similar to camote tops or sweet potatoes. It is known with its violet skin and color. Additionally, it is one of the popular ingredients used in baking and desserts.Let's eat! :)

  • Thank you so much, Teacher Galina! You never failed to encourage me with your sweet comments! I'm very humbled for that. Baking is quite a challenging activity though I must admit I'm a newbie for this. I never mind the mess that goes with it. It's actually beneficial for me since I always prepare meals most of the time and I learn many tips about cooking! I must see to it that I cook a healthy food for my family especially for my dad because he's not getting any younger. :)

By the way, the caption helped me tremendously! I was playing with my camera and a piece of paper caught my attention. I guess I was too lazy to use Photoshop!

  • Oh my dear Luci! Thank you for the comment! You made me giggle a bit. I couldn't imagine eating this cake with onions on it, could you? :P This coconut sport is called "Macapuno" in my local language which can be bought in a jar and you can eat it as dessert as well. It's too sweet that it complements the chiffon cake which has less sugar!

Anyway, It would be my pleasure to bake one for you. :)

  • Wow! Robbie! There're no limits to your talents and creativity! Now a new sphere - baking! It's a challenging activity, I must admit! And you've done a great job! Your ube bread looks so unusual and appetising! So the wish 'break a leg' definitely helped you. You have a great success!

Now we're waiting some more delicious desserts from you!

  • Woooow, I would like to taste it, Mr. Baker :D To be honest I have never seen anything like this and firstly considered that one coconut on the top onion :D Don't laugh, ok?!!!
